Done my "wrigglies" ( I breed mealworms for my now tame robin family - at £3 for 100gm its much cheaper - they only eat bran, a crust of bread occasionally and banana skins !) Is worth it to have them tame enough to eat from your hand - and they come tell me if I am late with them!

    That's really lovely,lucky you!
I have two young Blackbirds who get leftover catfood on the garden bench they're not quite tame but definitely braver and Fatcat isn't interested in them. I worried about them when I was away and thought it was too much to ask the catsitters to do.

Morning all - had my me time - soaked my feet and painted my toe nails whilst watching eurovision. Terry's commentary was hilarious!

Hope to do a few odd jobs in the garden between the showers and to hoover upstairs before the loft ladder comes down again tomorrow for DH to continue - boarding the loft now and then we can sort the stuff and hopefully do a bit of ebaying.

    Have a happy day

Becca Happy Mothers Day :) Pleased to hear your Mum is on the mend too. Couple of marks still there, will try some harsher cleaning stuff on it later. DS1 dropped off, just hope it goes ok, not used to leaving him with anyone so have just been pottering about since trying to keep my mind off it and stop me from ringing to check on him :o he wouldn't stop asking questions, when he was asked to be quiet for the other people fishing he was ready to burst! Dying to just ask another question.

boston the little robins sound great, how lovely
One day I might be more organised...........

Re: the robins - their little one sits near them on the fence as they come down, and flutters and cheeps helplessly while they fly back and forth stuffing mealworms down his throat for a while .. them mum and dad go off and I retreat behind the gate to watch - and then the babe flies down on his own and helps himself from the extra I leave in a small pot!!

You have guessed I think that I am sure he is a male from his actions alone!!!.....:rotfl:

Oh Lil_me - all that paint at that time in the morning! Poor you.... The fishing will be fine - relax - he'll be so caught up in it he probably wont even have missed you yet! ;)

    Becca - happy Mum's day!

  • grrrr just found out that the BF's idea of tidying his stuff up is to put it in the carrier bag with the stuff he dumped in there last time I asked him to tidy his stuff up and hide it by the side of the sofa !!! Not impressed, but atleast it's out of my sight and you can see the table again !

I love robins. When ever I go to the allotment one comes and sits really close just waiting for a nice juicy bug to be dug up!
