Well, collected DS1 from the fishing, I think he's been a bit of a nightmare from what the guy who was teaching him said. His attention span is poor and was excited to be there kept wandering off. If he goes again I'll be staying with him anyway, this was a one off as the other members were on holiday. Maybe give it another go next month and see how he is with it, then can at least say we gave it a shot.

As for housework, best get cracking. Quite a bit to do, thankfully hasn't rained since I put washing out this morning so can get it a bit dry outside. Socks sort is next :( hate that job more than I hate ironing but can't avoid it.

Lists not far off the same, few dailies left to do like finish making dinner later and the washing up but the bathroom, kitchen, floors etc all done.

    All laundry away
    Socks/undies sort
    [STRIKE]Sort paperwork
Look for DS1s missing glasses no sign so far [/STRIKE]given up
[STRIKE]Clear stuff that needs to go upstairs [/STRIKE]
Tidy dining table (uni work splattered all over it)
    [STRTake DS1 to fishing & collect IKE][/STRIKE]
    Dailies
    Night time stuff
One day I might be more organised...........

    Afternoon everyone!

Feels like i should be about to be going to bed, as Charlie woke us at 6 again shrieking cos he had rolled over and couldn't go back, and was wedged. Half an hour of him in with us and a few pokes in the eye, and i decided to get up.

    So i've:
    • fed/washed/dressed Charlie
    • played with him while catching up with a TV programme i taped last night
    • done 30 minutes of marking while he slept
    • got a load through the WM
    • took him to the kiddies party for 1+1/2 hours
    • brought him home, fed him and now hoping he sleeps again soon, so i can do some more marking.
    • DH has put some boxes in the loft for me, run the hoover round the kitchen, put the compost out, and took all the cardboard recycling to the tip while i was out.
so that's another couple of jobs off the list from Friday. :D

Plan is to do the usual dailies, have a good go at the marking while DH is here to watch Charlie. Make a shepherds pie for dinner.

Otherwise, i'm not going to be doing much.

glad to hear your DD is feeling a bit better AnW's mum, and your mum too, becca.

will check back a bit later,

    Michelle, x

grrrr just found out that the BF's idea of tidying his stuff up is to put it in the carrier bag with the stuff he dumped in there last time I asked him to tidy his stuff up and hide it by the side of the sofa !!! Not impressed, but atleast it's out of my sight and you can see the table again !

Hey, glad my DH isn't the only one with this particular way to hide things up...when I can't find a bill/quote/whatever I have to search in one of several such carrier bags which now seem to have miraculously multiplied on top of the spare bed...

Afternoon all. I'm shattered. Housework (except laundry) can wait until tomorrow. I'm not even going to attempt to do anything cleaning while both peeps are home. The place is tidy, the laundry is all washed (just about to go and hang the last lot of wet washing on hangers - it's teaming down with rain here  ) and OH is in our bedroom watching "Flightplan" on his laptop while doing his half of the ironing (I only do pants, skirts & things he gets frustrated doing  ).

DD is doing her book reviews again. It's taken her over 3 hours to write a section called "What I would tell my friends about this book", if it was Harry Potter I could understand but it's only "Mr Brave" from the Mr Men series. We've had to make her do it again as what she has written either doesn't make sense or isn't even in the book:confused: Timer for 30 minutes has been set - she currently has 9 minutes left and she's saying "I've only just started!" She still needs to do vocab, spellings, and a picture to go with this book, then she's got "Mr Grumpy" to do as well :wall: Soooo we're following the advice on here for housework - babysteps (one section of the work at a time), and using a timer (15-30 minutes per session) in the hopes she'll be able to concentrate and get the work done.

I think I'm going to leave her on her own down here until the alarm rings while I go and sort out laundry upstairs. Shouldn't take me long. ;) Later

    Yes I am.
The exhibition was good, loads to browse round, free food tastings, but in hindsight I would have been able to pay more attention to things if I'd gone on my own!

Yay. Nice to see another Southamptonite on here, everyone else seems so far away, other than Rach in Bournemouth of course.

I only found out about the exhibition about 4.30 so there wasn't time to go, shame really as I would have liked to have gone.

    Hello All

Not much flying done here. We had our list of jobs to do at the bungalow, MIL collected girls, loaded car off then realise keys were in girls bag - DOH!! Phone MIL mobile not switched off - so why the heck does she have one!! We thought they may have gone to Ely to feed the ducks so we hopped in car and drove over to their usual haunts that way but no sign. She phones at 12 to say did you want me. So all our plans have gone to pot  .

However, I have now disposed of the tumble dryer (freecycle person collected), chest freezer should be collected tomorrow and waiting to arrange collection of booster seat/high chair so some more space in the shed. Have got DH to go through 2 boxes of computer junk so now only 1 box remaining:D .

Usual s & s in kitchen, hoovered. DH job is ironing this pm (while he watches the football - fair trade off in my opinion  ). So I may go and sort through the huge box of baby things I have kept from the girls and see if I can be ruthless. Doubt it very much, first baby grow, little roo snowsuit DD1 came home from hospital in etc etc. Have also go a box of baby clothes that i keep because they fit one of their dolls but I have to face the fact that 2 huge boxes of stuff already and they are only 4 and 2, we will need an extra bedroom to store all the other things I simply have to keep. Maybe if I fold them really well I can squeeze it into one box:D ;)

Have got a box of all videos, books, some clothes etc to take to the charity shop too. Have also offered someone on freecycle the wardrobe from our nursery set as no need for it at new place and is only used for storage in girls playroom at mo so hopefully that should go sometime next week too:T Do have to say you get some funny sorts with freecycle. The bloke that collected the dryer seemed really miserable, DH did help him load it in the car. Its only 4 years old so cosmetically it is as new, was listed that it needed a new thermostate (he was on about replacing it with the one from his old mankey dryer). I dont expect people to throw themselve at my feet with gratitude or anything but a smile and a thanks would be nice  .

Anyway enough waffle, gonna grab a box and head off upstairs.

Afternoon all, just had a veiwing on the house so now relaxing in a lovely clean house. Typical though, have decided we don't want to move into the new house and the couple just been were really keen, might have to start looking again. Having a bit of a nightmare today have Managed to pull the hoover onto my head when doing the stairs! OUCH!!! Also got a big blue bruise on my arm so must have caught that too. Took DS and my cousin swimming today, got a nail in my tyre on the way home so had to go to my mums, no dinner with me for DS so had to make something. Dad managed to pump tyre enough to get DH to garage but they need to order one in, so spare tyre on and about £200 lighter:eek: Plus Police Helicopter was flying round at 3am searching the fields near our house so little dog was scared and I couldn't get back to sleep, had a cuppa, finally dropped off and then its 6.45am with baby singing to me down the mointor:rolleyes: very cute though!

Lil_me Glad fishing went ok, same not as well as you'd like but if you try again next month. Main thing is though he sounds as if he enjoyed it
Nicki Good luck with the homework
Shell - know what you mean with the tumble dryer bloke, we gave away our old sofas to SIL friends as they can't afford a new one. Were 5 years old and perfect, just needed a good clean. The bloke didn't even say thanks, if that was me I'd be dead grateful someone was helping me.

Crikey that's a long time Nicki, hope it's going ok.

I'm in the middle of a mission with the dining table, it's been a dumping ground for 2 days and kids have had to have meals on laps because of it, :o just easy to get distracted as laptop is also on it.
