Thank you !
Well she has been like these forever, always wanting to get fed and when took the bottle it was like magic, so content but now, it is a battle, i will try a larger teat now too, i am wondering if she has a tongue tied ? I will check with info i was giving in the mse group. I am off to try to feed her and put her to sleep if i am lucky, daddy and sister are staying at nannys today.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
Hope everything improves soon and any feeding problems get solved,
It would be so much easier if you could just ask baba what the problem is ! Good luck

Night all x0 -
Thanks for that link Ro
Morocha *hugs* I knows it's hard when they want nothing but you and boob. We're going through a growth spurt here atm so he's staying on for hours and asking for more within minutes! Deffo go and see your HV. See if you can get someone to check your latch. And please consider going to a sling library... Dewi cannot stand being in a pram, he may nod off but will constantly wake and cry, where as he can happily sleep in his sling for 3 hours while we go shopping/walking. Breastfed babies like to stay close... your OH could also wear her with a similar effect once she's used to it (my OH took Dewi shopping alone and successfully carried him while doing so for an hour when he was only a few weeks old).0 -
Still jaundiced with no change in her billi levels after a full 24 hours under the lights
Now got her on the bottom light as well at my request to try to get things moving because I'm getting flashbacks and my ptsd is going to intolerable levels being in and doing this again.
laws suddenly coincidentally in the area and pushing for cuddles-no way am I having them visiting because they've decided they will and considering mil screeched hysterically just at the size of Erin and blames me for her prematurity, she'd flip out utterly at the blindfold naked lights thing and I don't have enough emotionally to deal with that just now.
Hard to sleep as bubs is very sicky and windy so am scared she'll throw up if I'm asleep too.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
morocha -didn't want to read and run, just to say big hugs dont feel lonely as we are all here for your just virtually x I definitely would speak to the doctor or health visitor about the refusal of bottle, surely they should be able to help. What if you were unable to breast feed and the baby refused the bottle? What would they suggest then? Ask them these questions and see how far you get. HV may be useful, I tend to bypass them as any flamin' concerns I have are met with "if you are worried speak to your GP"
Just wanted to say thanks for the replies about milk supply and growth spurts from the other day. I've never swapped little miss over or offered both boobs are she was always sick if she fed for longer than 20 mins so one boob was enough before I'd take her off. Now it seems she isn't sick after 20 mins and offering both sides definitely seems to help. Shes not exactly suffering for it in terms of weight so I'm not worried! She is growing a 4th chin I'm certain0 -

Hope the jaundice improves dizzi and you can come home soon0 -
Dizzi *hugs* hope the lights start working for LO. I'm sure your MIL's heart is in the right place even if it doesn't seem like it. Just concentrate on yourself and LO x
Woke with massive boobs this morning so I'm sure this is a growth spurt. We had one unreasonable wake up followed by a day of not sleeping but since then he's been trying to sleep more and enjoying cwtches with me. Really can't wait til he's ok with being put down when he's asleep.0 -
thank you ladies, she gave me a break last night, went to sleep at 22, got up at 1 had a full bob feed( it wasssssss massive, she usually drinks both but hey) got up at 3 had the other boob and went back to sllep till 5. I decided then to give a bottle, she took 50ml and spent 30min settling her back to sleep. Up again at 6 and then gave her some more bm and kept her next to me in bed, more bm at 8 and slept till 10.
?Funny thing is i do not feel rested! i feel drained. will look into slings and will get in touch with gp, my hv is aswell awful, everythin is always normal, there is nothing wrong and i asked her that i was concerned because shes seem so grumpy/ unhappy and her response was if you are miserable she is just copying you.
bamama, mine is feeding at every hour almost since shes born, my hv always says it may be a griwth spurt? and i replied, well she must have one since shes born then because things hasnt changed here.
dizzi, hope the lights work soon.
Have a nice day everyone.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0
