He kind of just took a step!!!!!!!! ok, so more of a big stagger between the footstool and the sofa, but there was one foot off the ground and moving with no hands on anything. :D

Well done George! :T My LO's latest trick is to climb up on the sofa, then throw herself backwards whilst giggling!

Thanks for all your lovely birthday wishes for him!!

Had a lovely day :) wore him out completely, he has been in bed since 640! Took him to a big indoor soft play centre, out for a meal and then the town park and fed the ducks. He was whacked!

Ill post pics tomoro when on laptop, just wanted to say thank you xx

Oh, and I am really emotional now he is in bed...he is 1  where did my little baby go??

So glad you had a lovely day :) I know what you mean about them growing up. George is 4wks old today, I did get a bit emotional & I can't believe how fast it's gone or how much he's changed so I can't imagine how it feels to get to the 1yr mark!

Glad he had a lovely day, it really does go quick doesn't it? I can't believe my ds1 will be 10 this year!

I think their 1st birthday is always a bit emotional as its like a transition from 'baby' to 'toddler'.

I had to phone around local pre schools yesterday to put Noah's name on the lists, they get so booked up here we have to do it early. I don't want him to go! I might home school him. :D

Aw glad you all had a lovely day! Hope he slept all night to show what a big boy he is?!

It's strange isn't it? Personally I don't want another at the moment but at the same time I can't help feeling a bit lost now he's getting so big, he's definitely more toddler (although not properly toddling yet, he did take a couple more steps last night!) than baby. The thought that this giggly monster is the same thing as the little wailing bundle they put on my chest in the delivery room...weird. :o

Sammie I can't believe you have to do school lists already! I don't even know where we're going to be living at that time yet, pretty darn sure we won't still be in a 1 bed flat with a 4 year old!

    Morning all :)

Sunshine, sounds like you had a fabulous day!

Hope your nights were better than mine - I was up from midnight to 2.45 trying to get her back to sleep. Anything and everything seems to be more exciting than sleeping at the moment... Plus, she just wanted cuddles - I gave in a couple of times and picked her up, she fell asleep on me both times, but as for then trying to put her back in the cot... all hell broke loose! Sometimes it's like having a (very heavy) newborn again! I didn't feed her though and I don't think she was hungry.

 at schools lists! I really need to look into that. Trouble is we can't figure out if we want to move, although I suppose getting her onto the local lists would do no harm, in case we're still here in 3 years. There are tons of schools within walking distance so really need to start investigating!

Have a good day ladies x

Some of the pre schools in my area take kids from 2 yrs 6 months so I suppose that's only 18 months away! I think I will send Noah when he is 2yrs 9 months. I know it's only 3 months in it though. I expect when he hits the terrible twos I will be begging someone to take him! :p

I waited until ds2 was around 2ish when I applied for his preschool and he ended up going to a cr@@py one as the others were booked up. They should have picked up on his Aspergers before he started school but nothing was mentioned. Ofsted closed it last year for whatever reasons so I don't want to risk Noah not getting into a good preschool.

Forgot to say yesterday, well done George!! :j

What are you planning to do when he starts pre-school Sammie? Do you think you'll stay at home (or have another baby? ;))
