She's 10 months today and we've had issues with night sleep for just over a month (neatly coinciding with me going back to work...) so I think it's likely to be that, but I keep hoping it'll stop soon! Think I might try more milk at bedtime tonight and see how that goes - she already has 3 meals, a mid-morning snack and 3 bottles of milk a day....

Happy 10 months!!!!! I think squeezing more milk in during the day/bedtime would be preferable to moving one feed to during the night. I ended up feeding G at 6am this morning and he went off for another hour, he just won't take moe milk during the day, he has 3-4 feeds a day and if I try and offer more he just bites. And with 6 teeth that is not pleasant!

He kind of just took a step!!!!!!!! ok, so more of a big stagger between the footstool and the sofa, but there was one foot off the ground and moving with no hands on anything. :D

Wow I can see how squeezing in more food/milk could be problematic. I'd make sure dinner is filled with protein and carbs. Maybe even some porridge or something before bed obviously depending on how late she has dinner.

I know mozzy had issues with night wakings and solved it by supper x

Edit: well done George :j that's how it starts, staggering between two things! :D

Just popping by on my lunch to say Happy 1st Birthday Aiden!

Want to see some pics Sunshine, hope the cake was a success and he didn't go to crazy with all that sugar!

Nowt to report here! Off to a Hen Party on Saturday at Alton Towers, can't wait! Will be a whole day away from Poppy but will be nice to spend time with the girls. They are off round Manchester in the evening, but I'll be coming home, can't stay away from her for the whole night just yet!

Well done George on taking his first steps, he'll have you running around ragged before you know it Katie!

Poppy's not walking or even close, yet she is mobile in her own way, found her with a coal from the fire (the fire wasn't on!) she was just about to take a bite!!

    HI!!!

Yep, we had this problem too. Charlie has 3 meals plus snacks at nursery, his last meal being at 3:30pm. And has never slept through. So we started giving him something at 6pm, not much, just a peanut butter sandwich, or avocado on toast, and some fruit. Then at 7:30pm, after a bath, he has his bottle of milk, then bed. And he magically started sleeping through!! He also then has a second bottle first thing in the morning. We cutout the lunch time bottle, but he is 1, so doesn't need it.

    Good luck hun x

Thanks Mozzy :) She has dinner at nursery at 4pm, so we've tried to add a snack at around 6pm, the challenge is to keep her awake as she's soooo tired after nursery! But I think you're right - on days when she's had a late snack she does (sometimes!) sleep better. Will keep trying - part of the challenge is to get her to nap more during the day so that she can go to bed a bit later in the evening so that she can have that late snack.

When Charlie first started nursery, we were starting bed time at around 6:15pm, because he was just so tired. But he's actually got used to it now. He may still be tired, but not as much so. And we know he can do it, and it's better all round if he stays awake, has the snack, then a bit of play time, then we do bath bottle and bed at 7pm. Before that, he was waking around midnight for a bottle, but since introducing the food, he doesn't wake. He did a couple of times at first, more out of habit, but i knew for definite now he wasn't hungry, so just shushed him back to sleep. Then he just stopped waking altogether until morning x

Edit - it's so nice now, knowing that once we've put him down, bar any waking from teething/being unwell, he is going to sleep till early morning, and we can have an evening! Better late than never lol x

Thank you ladies :) She had a nap in the buggy on the way home from nursery today, so we managed to keep her awake long enough for a snack (toast and banana) at 5.45pm before starting the bedtime routine at 6.30pm. I guess that means she had her milk at 7pm-ish. I also added an extra 30ml to her bottle, so am crossing my fingers for sleep tonight (although realise she might wake out of habit even if she isn't hungry).

Hope everyone is well - it's freezing here!

Pampers Baby Dry: 2 packs x 96 each at £20 in Asda. All Pampers also reduced at Tesco but I cannot remember if it was as good or not at the minute.
