Everything crossed for a weight gain Oscar x

Just had our bumps and bundles Christmas party. Eilis fell asleep before Santa came, bless her! Maybe next time lol.

As for smoking, my in-laws smoke but they swear only outside - not that it's much better but I suppose I have to pick my battles - and I know it's awful but I just don't believe them, especially in this cold weather. They said it when I was pregnant but then my MIL started smoking in the kitchen so the whole house smelled again. Not really looking forward to going there for Christmas as I'd imagine it's worse when they're drinking.

Got a positive response to a speculative job email today, keeping my fingers well & truly crossed.
  • LO went for his first swimming lesson today. I felt so ridiculous cos he's so small and scared he's gonna catch something! I think it went well as he didn't scream too much. When I dunked him there was less screaming the more times I did it lol

good luck with the job Claree

well done on finding milk that LO will take Oscar. I hope you have another victory with weight gain too.

MrsHaworth I hope things are better for you and OH is doing more.

I really can't be bothered putting decorations up - they're still in the loft and we're going to in-laws for Christmas. Must be the sleep deprivation talking.
  • Cake, hopefully the jabs will be fine, don't know how long you should wait, possible just get them over and done with?
Oscar, fingers crossed for weight gain.
Claree, so cute Eilis falling asleep, T did in his Christening, just woke up for the font bit (nicely timed really), good luck with the job.x
T's gone into his cot bed in his own room tonight. Could be easy as pie, could be a looooong night. We'll see, it's not the end of the world if we do little by little as he still doesn't stand up in his crib, but want him settled before he has to go into his cot.x
  • Evening all :)

Oscar fingers crossed that LO picks up the weight that is needed x Hope that you're doing ok

lazywife I Love that letter to Santa - so true even for my 7 month old! A would add "mom's shoes" onto her list in addition to the others - the muddier, the better! Hope that T has a good night tonight in the cot.

Cake personally I'd probably just get the jabs over with, but that's just me.

Benice glad that LO appeared to enjoy his swimming lesson today. I took A swimming from 8 weeks although we only started lessons from 4 months as they won't take them any younger where we did our lessons. I guess the thing to remember is that LO did spend 9 months in a fluid filled environment ;) As for catching something - well if you leave the house there is a chance LO will catch something.

Claree good luck with the job.

Well, for my birthday OH got me a pacapod picos :D OOOh it is FABULOUS! I've been playing with it already to see how I can pack it and it is soo comfy to wear too! My birthday was definitely a "mommy birthday": we had LO's swimming lesson, then out for lunch with OH, then to her first ever birthday party as a guest, then home for playtime before OH cooked a three course dinner (which we had once LO was in bed). And she slept from 7:45 to 5 this morning, had a feed and back down until 8:45 :j

We'll likely put a tree up at the weekend; we have quite a small tree and it will be going on top of a waist height table as that is the only place LO definitely cannot reach it!

We had a lovely surprise at our Children's Centre baby group today; as we're a "regular" the staff bought A a Christmas present! I really didn't expect that!

Hope that everyone else is well

Yay! :j Well done to your OH - and I'm so glad you like it, I think I'd feel a bit guilty if you didn't.... :rotfl:

    Happy belated birthday too :D

Hello everybody! Don't seem to get much chance to log on here. Baby is one on Sunday!

Nutella, I seem to remember you flew long haul with your baby a while back. We are doing the same soon. Did you manage to find cheap wrapped 'toys' or any other tips?

    I've been Money Tipped!
BeNice it took DH some convincing to do Christmas decs, he just sees it as a lot of faf. We've done a tree and T loves the sparkly lights, even I can't be bothered to put out the Santa cookie jar and the festive potpourri! The swimming will be good for LO.
Saf, happy belated birthday, sounds like A was a good girl and helped you enjoy it.
Happy birthday on Sunday to little Savage :)
T slept well in the other room, a couple of wakes for feed, but that's kinda normal, so yey!
Today's job is making him a stocking (or a trip to town to buy one if I can't find inspiration)

Hey ladies :). Everything crossed for you Oscar. Let us know how you get on.

G has entered a new phase of independence - won't go in the pushchair even when he's too tired to walk, I have to wrestle him into it! God know what passers by must think but there's no way I can carry him as well.

Does everyone have nice Christmassy plans for the weekend? I was going to take him to see Father Christmas but we saw him at the children's centre party yesterday and he didn't seem too impressed!

Not seen sunshine for a while? Hope you got moved ok if you read this!

  • I'm taking LO to London at the weekend to meet up with some of my friends who haven't met him before, and to go to Winter Wonderland/Oxford Street to see the lights. Obviously, as LO is 11 weeks old, this is more for me than him!

LO has now grown out of all of his 0-3 clothes. They're all boxed up to go into the loft for whoever we know next that has a baby (they've gone round 3 babies so far, increasing in number with each baby!). I've kept one of his first size vests and babygros, I want to get them framed with some pics of him.
