    Congrats Katie how exciting :)

Hugs for the tough nights all round we also had two rough nights. DH is in London with work so have been on my own which has made it tougher. I am trying to help C nap better during the day, it seems to have helped yesterday, he settled in 30 mins rather than the usual 2 hours of screaming.

Also wondering if anyone can recommend a universal footmuff? We have an icandy peach 2 and I don't feel like paying the£100 for the official one!

Our Kaiser footmuff is FAB :D It's meant to be universal, but obviously worth double-checking that it would fit your buggy. There are a couple of different ones on Amazon - we have this one (which is £37), but I've since discovered this, which is £10 cheaper and doesn't seem massively different. Would definitely recommend - very warm and soft! £100 is crazy!

By the way - I've introduced my LO to Baby Vuvu, and she's in love! She's just watched it five times in a row whilst I got some work done :o Thanks to whoever posted the link - I think it might have been IHateDida?...

Dentist later and A has his first check up...busy day!

Hope the appointment went well - I also went to the dentist this afternoon! Funny how the advice on when to take your LO varies - my dentist advised me to bring my LO along every time I go (which I did today) to get her used to the place (although I suspect she was wondering why mummy was wearing a bib! :rotfl:), but to not take her for a check-up until she's two and a half - three years old and I'm able to explain to her what's happening. He also said to talk about it in advance and prepare her - he recommended a Peppa Pig book about going to the dentist, which his four-year-old girls loves :D

Hey :) well, I have never took him before. So I registered him today and the Dentist said that at this age thier diet is actually more important than brushing thier teeth. He said that you need to be really careful with what drinks you give them and what they are out of, Aiden only has water in a beaker and milk in a bottle. He said thats fine and what they reccomend, apprarently he sees alot of children with decayed teeth and enamel because parents give them concerntrated juice or squash very often and in a bottle. He said that at this age, all he would do was to have a quick look at his teeth from the front and if Aiden opened his mouth, he got a quick look and said all was fine. They wont do proper check ups till he is over 2 I think.

Your footmuff, is it big enough? I want one but worry Aiden may be a bit too big now? He is quite tall looking in the pushchair, his head is at the top!!..xx

There again dentists are different, ours recommended only to drink from a beaker now and an open cup when we can. Ours just had a quick look too. Mentioned the same r.e milk and water being the only drinks.

Also about snacks, but we can't get around not giving snacks in the day, we have dinner late to eat as a family so not possible to only have 3 meals :o but just said to limit dried fruit and other sugary things, which we try to do anyway.

I have dreadful teeth, they're straight thanks to orthodontic treatment in my teens but they just don't look very nice :(

Thanks Nutella, it seems the difference is the anti-slip material at the back of the footmuff. I have a little while before I need to order it as c is still in his carrycot at the moment, so I will research and see if it works with the icandy.

C is on night 2 of his new bedtime routine, he went down no problem at 7:15 and then woke up at 7:40 grr just nursed him back to sleep so going to try for round 2. He only had one hour long nap this morning and 2 catnaps. He has been fussing all evening so really hoping he sleeps well tonight because I am shattered!
