It was really good thanks. We just went for a meal and then for afew drinks I stayed out till 1:30 and had 4 drinks

It was different getting ready for a night out though, I used to take ages and have a nice bath etc. I had to do my make up with Aiden exploring the contents of my make up bag, rush my shower while he napped and dry my hair while he was distracted with an ellas cereal bar!

I'd need a lot of cereal bars!

What with someone else always needing the money more and the girls repeatedly bringing home headlice last year my hair has got rather long :o

We have snow forecast for monday  I really thought we were done with winter last week :(

Mothercare have up to 50% off HappyLand toys until 18th March. I want them all - used to love that sort of stuff as a child! :o

I need nappy advice! I have finally accepted (grudgingly!) that OH cannot cope with cloth nappies. He hates them to the point where he won't change her if she's wearing one, he thinks they make the washing machine "dirty" (?!) and he goes a bit purple every time he sees me put one on her. So we have gone back to disposables.

Up until now I have been using the Pampers New Baby ones, but I've just gone up a size due to poo leakage and turns out they still leak - they're clearly big enough but just not holding it in. A likes to spend about 20 minutes over a poo, doing it in stages - gush, think, grunt, squeal, gush, think, grunt etc - and by the time she has finished it's leaked out the sides and down her leg, plus up to her belly button. I guess at 3.5 months she is not really a "new" baby anymore - so where do I go next? What's good? There seem to be a thousand million different types out there! She's quite small for her age, about 10.5lb and not very chubby but very busy in the kicking department.

Pampers actifit and pampers baby dry are what I use when I use disposables. We've never had a leak yet with either of those, I use the baby dry over night for 12/13 hours. I probably could buy cheaper ones but it's working for us and I Cba going through loads of diff brands to find one that might be marginally cheaper.

If you need size 2's then only baby dry come in those I think, but I do know what you mean about the new baby not containing it anymore.
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.

missbunbury - I have come to the conclusion that if a nappy is going to leak its going to leak regardless of brand. I'll only accept explosive pooey nappies, if they leak weewee then they are out (yes that's you I'm talking about Huggies Size 1!) Also the levels of saturation already in the nappy can determine how much it leaks or not. I find Pampers the best but Huggies Superdry have been ok too. I don't think the HUggies New Baby or whatever they are called are very good. However, it all depends on the size and shape of your baby, others may hate Pampers and love Huggies or vice versa. I have definitely noticed less explosion/leaks but more of them since we gave baba one formula bottle per day. Is your little one breast fed? That definitely produced much runnier poos here!

moneypenny it's every time she poos, immediately, so I think I definitely need a change, there must be a nappy that can hold a whole poo out there! Think I will try the Babydry and see how I go. She is exclusively breastfed, cos I am too lazy to faff about getting formula to the right temperature.

    Hi ladies,
I'm a lurker... Had my gorgeous baby boy Oliver on 3rd February. I was on the pregnancy thread, but just haven't got round to joining this one, but I do read it!
I'm posting because Marta was asking about sleep/nighttime routines, and one of my local nct pages on Facebook there was a link to a free book on amazon about sleep... It's free til the end of the day I think... Hope it helps someone, I have found it interesting.
