That's exactly it, Gilly - it'll be me doing all the work as per usual!

Last night Eilis fell asleep on me so I put her down and told him I was going to lie down too 'cause I didn't feel well. She woke up shortly after and I brought her in and asked him to take her so that I could lie down and he was in some mood, like I was asking him to do me a favour! I know he works all day and sees evenings as a break but when do I get a break?!

What is this break that you speak of?! ;)

What I need when I can't remember the last time I actually felt warm was :(

I just completely broke down because Eilis was crying for no reason. What the hell is wrong with me? She's a baby, she's liable to cry at any given time, it's not her fault but I find myself getting so angry and upset with her.

I have college tonight. I missed last week so I really need to go but I just want to curl up and cry at the moment. Got OH texting me about ordering sandwiches and phoning the priest and a million other things that I just don't have the time or energy to do.

Aw Clare we've all had days like that, it is so exhausting with a LO :( have you got your mum local who could pop over and help for the afternoon, or friends? Don't stress over college - you can always catch up. there's no point making yourself even more worn out. Can you tell OH how you're feeling and get him to ring the priest/sandwiches on his lunch break?

Stick the kettle on and make a brew - even if it means leaving LO crying for a couple of minutes, she won't come to any harm while you get yourself together a bit x

My mum's working unfortunately and lives 45 mins away anyway. I know I just need to get through today - we have babyclub tomorrow morning and then my friend is coming over and then she's staying with my mum tomorrow night - but 5pm seems so far away at the moment.

Total self indulgent post, I know I just have to suck it up and get on with it. She's sitting in her chair at the moment and I'm rocking it with my foot which seems to be working but I can't stop the tears rolling down my face.

I may as well go to college though 'cause it's not like I'll get a rest in the house. Eilis will cry for 30 secs and OH will hand her back to me.

Every mum is allowed as many self indulgent posts as they need, you'll get though it and tomorrow will be better with seeing your friend.

How about going out for a walk with LO in the pram? That's a fail safe solution for me if I'm feeling poop. Plus you can call by the shop and get some treats ;)

Usually I would but I'm sniffling away and freezing while all wrapped up in the house, I don't think it'd be a great idea to go out :(

She's quiet now, shoved in front of the TV with a dummy in her mouth, feel awful.
  • Try not to fret Clare_e I don't believe there is a parent alive who has not felt low and lonely with the responsibility of it all. We can't make it easy for you but there are people out there thinking of you and commiserating. A wise friend told me that when things are not going well to remind myself that the baby's mood would be different in an hour, and I have found that a useful thought to hold on to.

Hugs to you for now. Xox

So....festive clothing. Never been a big fan of xmas jumpers, and I couldn't face Primark, BUT my LO needed a new pyjamas, so when I found this in Marks & Spencer, I knew we were on to a winner :)

Does she have to wait until December or can she wear it now?...

Too late - she's already wearing it and is refusing to take it off!
