Oh also for those with younger babies, wondering about Christmas, I would recommend the 'Dear Zoo' book it is still a favourite here and it captivated him from quite a young age. You can get a noisy one too with buttons at the side. He loved it and still does. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Morning all
On the subject of books, if anyone's after a bedtime story, my LO loves 'The big night-night book'. It's got nice textures to touch and feel, including bedroom curtains and a little fleece blanket! We've read it every evening since she was about a year old (so for six months now), and it's still a favouriteIt lives on top of the microwave and is only brought out at bedtime.
As for free things through the post - I don't think I can beat the Justin Bieber badge! :rotfl:
I'm attempting to work from home today - wish me luck!
Hope everyone is well x0 -
Just read an interesting BBC article (yes, yes, I know I'm supposed to be working!....) - 'Are children given too many toys?'0

Can you lot stop your recommendations pleeeease!!!
(although I am going to look at the Dear Zoo one with buttons as I bought Room on the Broom with the noise buttons and she absolutely loves it - obviously doesn't understand a word....but still loves it!).
*must stop buying stuff*:D - however I did buy this yesterday as I think it will brighten up our hallway for Xmas and was cheap! (I was inspired by all the nursery stickers...!) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Snowmen-Playing-Giant-Setter-Decoration/dp/B000R4OFDM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1383734111&sr=8-1&keywords=Snowmen+Playing+Giant+Scene+Setter+Decoration0 -

Ooh I want some free goodies! I won a 2 4 1 entry to a local bird park on the goodies organix Facebook page recently. Does that count?!
I put Bob the builder on this morning while I quickly painted his bedroom door, so I'm in your bad mummy club too. Nutella I was the same re judging parents that put tv on for kiddies, but a few minutes here and there isn't going to do any harm. G loves Bob, Octonauts and just getting into Rastamouse. That's more for me though lol. And we just got a Wacky Races DVD from love film so we're going old school too
G and I had a treat out this morning as had to let the paint dry, we went to Morrisons and sat in the cafe for a bit - hot choccie and cream scone for me, gingerbread skeleton and smoothie for G. Bliss. Plus he's slept since we got back so I've got everything done ready for the viewing barring hoover and tidy up the toys.

Oooh...Nutella! Maybe you should run your own nappy competition!!! I would enter as I have just stocked up on a load of 4 and 4+'s (LO has a big butt for her age!)....used a £5 off £20 code and also doubled up on my Tesco Clubcard vouchers...so *almost* as good as winning a competition!!!! LOL!:p Actually it is quite funny pampers sending a single free nappy through the post....imagine if it got wet enroute!
Ok....lets do a what is the funniest free thing that you got sent through the post.....(inspired by Minimuffin!!)
Mine has to be these ginger chewy sweets (that look so vile I cannot bring myself to even taste them!) and a Justin Bieber badge (and stick on sparkles) that I received from joining up to the Family Club a few weeks ago!:rotfl:
Anyone do any better??!!
An adult catalogue :eek: I think it was possibly someone's idea of a joke because I never signed up for it... And oh my god the clothes... It made ann summers gear look classy and conservative, it was for people who want to look like cher's trashy(er!) cousin :rotfl: and it all went up to size 32 (that's dress size, not waist!):eek:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o
