  • Hello Ladies :)

I havent been about much at all, sorry! Been massively busy recently but I have been reading back almost everyday before I go to bed on my phone!!

Katie - eek exciting about putting your flat up for sale!! Fingers crossed your viewing goes well. Thanks for asking about our sale, touch wood its all going through atm, had various bits and pieces from the solicitors so fingers crossed in the next couple of weeks we get a date through :D

Welcome to all the newbies, there is so many of you I cant remember all your names!! Congrats on your babies though :j hope the littlies suffering with colic, reflux or feeding problems get sorted soon.

We have the telly on too, he watches Postman Pat while I am getting ready for work on nursery days and Night Garden just before bed. On days we are off together, he watches bits and pieces but the only thing he actually watches is Postman Pat. I dont see a problem with it, as others have said we do plenty together and its not as if the tv is the only thing to occupy him :)

We have recently started tumble tots on my non working day, not sure if its a national thing, but he really loves it and I would definately recommend it.

Well, it was photo day for A at nursery today. I bathed him this morning, and took him his new outfit for them to change him into, and guess what? He wouldnt have any taken!! They said they tried three times but everytime they went into the room he just got upset! :( Going to book a professional sitting with all three of us I think as I really want to get some done at the age he is now.

Talking of ages, OH keeps talking about having another one. He doesnt want a big age gap, him and his brother are 3 years and he would like the same. I would too tbh, but a friend at work is due today and has a 2 and a half year old and she has looked so tired the last few months, I just cant imagine being pregnant and looing after Aiden......

Anyway....we had a firework party at my mums on Sunday, she did a display in her garden which he liked at first but then got upset so we watched from the conservatory. He heard some earlier and he said 'no fywors!!!'

Thankyou! Its really made my day! :) Well done on the free nappy though - where did you get it from???

Me too about the SMP thing.....I had my last 50% week in last month's pay and from here on it will be SMP and then 3 months of absolute nowt..... I am saving our family allowance too, trying not to spend any of it as I would like to use it to take LO to Disneyland when she is about 7 or 8. OH doesn't earn as much as me either so its gonna be a shock! I reckon most of our house will be on Ebay soon.....! :p

Hugs :( SMP is rubbish. I really felt it when I dropped, but I managed a good few months on it and it was worth it for the time I had with him. Ebay is the way forward haha!!

Congrats on your win, that will help out your first month!! x

  • I joined pampers club, I think? Through their site or facebook, I cant remember which. They send me money off vouchers too. Me too, I got my last full pay (was full pay for 18weeks) now smp until I go back to work in march. Unfortunately we can't afford the 3months no pay, not with mortgage and 2 cars to run. Lol to most of your house being on ebay, we have so much stuff we could sell, my hubby is such a hoarder! Thats nice about saving for disneyland, she will love that :)

Wow...18 weeks full pay! That's good! I only had 4 weeks full pay and then it went down to 90% for 2 weeks and then dropped to 50%.....so at least I have had a gradual shock....! But SMP is an even bigger shock....! We moved to a shoe-box sized place last year so our mortgage isn't too bad...but I wish I'd saved up more before I got pregnant. As soon as you get pregnant you have no chance as you have to start buying the baby stuff!

Thanks Sunshine...yes the time with LO is worth living on beans and selling most of house on Ebay!!! Thank goodness for Shop and Scan, , Factfinders, NectarAdpoints and the such like for topping us up a bit too!

Anyway...I'm not going back to work....ever....as I am going to win the lottery.....! (the £100 win has gone to my head now!!!:rotfl:)

p.s. Minimuffin - I joined pampers but I get a few money off coupons but no nappy! I want a free nappy! Pah!

Nutella, just saw your review for the wellies on the MC website, I'm tempted to order them for A, even though they're apparently girls? :o

Well, 'officially' they are, but I don't really understand why - they're no more girly than the book and were admired by boys and girls alike when LO wore them to playgroup on Saturday :) Personally (as many of you will know from previous rants on here!) I have issues with gender stereotypes. My LO's got the 'boys' walking reins from Boots - they're blue, but so what?... I was never going to buy a pink one that says 'little cupcake', was I?... No offence to anyone that's got that one, but it's not for me... :o Ooops, I'm ranting again. Must. Stop. Right. Now. :o

(Go on, buy the wellies if you think he'll like them! :D)

Btw, got some lovely grey knitted winter stuff for LO from H&M today - hat, mittens and scarf :D

Evening all, and Congratulations and Welcome to our new mummies :D

I'd also like to join the "Bad Mummy" club as A's Youtube favourites are: Nellie the Elephant, Going to the Zoo, The Skeleton Dance, Wind the Bobbin up and Postman Pat. Not sure about TV as don't tend to watch it much but Youtube videos are fab. I also played them on my phone on a couple of car journeys (OH was driving) when she had had enough and was just screaming and screaming... that was a lifesaver!!!

Visited a friend today, which was lovely, and even nicer for A, she had a little clear-out and gave me a bunch of toys/books that her little one no longer plays with/is now too old for :D I'm going to wrap some of them up for A for Christmas.

A is being a nightmare to get off to sleep at the moment - it's exhausting so night night all

:rotfl::rotfl: Good thing I'm reading at home and not on the train right now as I'd get funny looks being sat there giggling!

Congrats on your win! I wouldn't mind sending you a free nappy - am trying to get through the last of the 4+ ones so we can move on to size 5 :rotfl:

Oooh...Nutella! Maybe you should run your own nappy competition!!! I would enter as I have just stocked up on a load of 4 and 4+'s (LO has a big butt for her age!)....used a £5 off £20 code and also doubled up on my Tesco Clubcard vouchers...so *almost* as good as winning a competition!!!! LOL!:p Actually it is quite funny pampers sending a single free nappy through the post....imagine if it got wet enroute! :D

Ok....lets do a what is the funniest free thing that you got sent through the post.....(inspired by Minimuffin!!)

Mine has to be these ginger chewy sweets (that look so vile I cannot bring myself to even taste them!) and a Justin Bieber badge (and stick on sparkles) that I received from joining up to the Family Club a few weeks ago!:rotfl:

    Anyone do any better??!!
  • Morning all,

So after 2 nights with very little sleep I decided to stay downstairs with Noah and let my oh get a full nights sleep in bed. Noah went to sleep at 11pm, woke at 3.15am to feed then slept through till 7am. Pretty successful night in all.
My oh however was so grumpy when he left for work, complaining that he felt worse after 8hrs sleep! Not even a thank you for spending the night on the sofa. Gonna let him have the sofa tonight!

As for free things, nothing through the post but I did think it was weird for the bounty pack to have milk teeth toothpaste in it. There's no way I'll be able to find that when he starts teething.

Oh no I feel the exact same. It's my OH who moans. My mum is buying A the Ikea toy kitchen for Christmas and I'd happily give him dollies and prams etc IF he wanted them, which he does, but my OH moans a lot. He wasn't so bad when he was younger and a baba we had so much unisex stuff but now he's a proper little toddler with long hair, I think he worries, as we get a lot of 'oh she's lovely' comments. Doesn't bother me though :o
