Morning
MrsH, personally I wouldn't worry about cold hands as long as the rest of him is warm... Be grateful he doesn't move around - my LO moves a lot in her sleep and keeps waking herself up by crashing into the sides of the cotHope work is OK today - I'm sure things will get a little easier once you get used to your new routine.
Have a good day all x0 -
Morning ladies
I wouldn't worry about the chilly hands mrsh2b, g would never keep anything on his hands and he survived. Only time it used to bother me was when I was bfing and he'd put them on me in the middle of the night!
G is 18 months old today :T. Sounds much more grown up than 17 and 3 weeks
Hope everyone has a nice dayNewborn thread member

Welcome angelmummy, congrats on your little man.
MrsH, Eilis always has cold hands. I tried putting mits on but she has them off in seconds.
Poor wee soul was breaking her heart last night. She was fed at 2.30pm and wouldn't take another bottle 'till 9pm. I dunno if it was a reaction to her immunisations but she was crying and crying - not the annoying angry cry, the "I'm really upset, mummy" cry. Managed to nurse her through it and thankfully she settled. I went into bed at 10pm (about 30 mins after she went down) and she was wide awake giving me all her chat and smiling!
Is it possible that dentinox colic drops are making her restless? She was off them for about a week and she slept great but before and since she's been back on them she's waking at 4am thrashing about and whimpering - not in pain, just making noises - and she's still going now, not woke up though! My Debt Free Diary

Freddie's hands are like ice in the winter. Doesn't seem to bother him. Extremities are fairly useless to a baby - just decorative really. All their blood is used to build that brain and digest that milk so hands and feet inevitably suffer. Nowt to worry about."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Another vote for cold hands being normal.
Little miss was up in the night the last few nightsShe will only settle for OH so if he doesn't get up she ends up in our bed... I haven't been able to get him out of bed so she's been there the last 3 mornings
She needs to break that habit methinks...
Had a crazy dream after my first alarm went off this morning, about one of OH's friends, he was doing bad stuff (can't remember exactly what) between 6 and 6.30 every morning then being normal in the daytime  maybe I should ask Pukkamum what that's all about (apart from being lazy and not wanting to get up)

Morning all, welcome angel and congrats, love the name, mainly cos joshuas midfle name is my sons name
we are off to a baby music group today, no idea what to expect! My lo is nosey and loves looking around so hopefully he wont cry the whole time! Claree sorry cant help with dentinox, we ditched the infacol at 11 weeks and lo seemed better without it, I only used it to help with wind and he stopped the colic time about 13weeks.
On a mse note, I got a free nappy through the post today :money:Mum of 2 :j0 -
Morning everyone.
Had a late night last night due to our 1st 'panic' mode as parents and took our little girl to the hospital.
She'd been different Sunday night and all day yesterday, sleeping a lot (I know most parents would be grateful), bitting/bobbing with feeding, had a totally different cry, very low and not what we're used too at all and finding it difficult to breath.
I kept an eye on her soooo much yesterday but then kept telling myself I was being silly and over reacting. Hubby came home at 7pm and at 9pm we decided to take her to the hospital (it's only a minor unit at our hospital, not an A/E) just to be on the safe side.
She's totally fine of course, just has her 1st cold which Dr seems to think is due to the weather plus also the fact that houses become dry environments now with heating going on etc. Dr was sooo lovely, reassured us that we did the right thing and nothing is considered 'silly' when you have a child and that it's better to get things checked out than not.
He spent a good 20 mins talking to us about how babies will react when they're unwell. So pleased we just didn't get fobbed off and told that we were being silly etc.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Great news that she's okay cd and your doctor sounds lovely!
We're just back from play group. Eilis is still a bit wee but she seemed to enjoy sitting on my knee and looking about. She got a bit grumpy towards the end but that's to be expected really - she's sleeping it off in her pram now. Was good to have some adult conversation! My Debt Free Diary
