Morning all
How did LO do Nutella? Hope you got some sleep.
Aiden was up at 6:10, I am shattered but my own fault for staying up late watching tv last night so cant blame him. Just enjoying 10mins peace while he eats his breakfast before his scampy side sets in for the day!!
Think he is going to be a librarian, lately all he wants to play with is books. He runs over to the box they are in saying bo, bo! Its very lovely but I am now sick of looking at the small amount of books we have! Do have a library card for him so will start using it I think.
Hope everyone is wellwe are off to softplay centre today I think, but OH needs to be back to watch the F1!

Well done Delain on getting your buggy sorted.
Nephew's Shrek cake gone well.
T had a rotten night. We tried a quick nip to Ikea at 7.30pm with MIL watching T, he was changed for bed and asleep when we got back. Didn't have his last proper night feed but stirred 1.5hrs later so did full feed and off to bed, but didn't settle til 10.30pm. Then awake again, wet, at 3.30 and not settled back down (asleep now on me in front of telly) Didn't
change him again before last night feed as it was only an hr or so later, but should have done (and kicking myself for not asking MIL to put on superdry nappies we use at night).

Morning all
Our night was actually really good in the end, thanks for askingShe slept until 7am! OK, so she stayed in my bed and she moved around a lot in her sleep (I think she was dreaming, as she was also making sounds), but all in all much better than feared! She's now having a nap - she's definitely a bit low on energy today and she still has a temperature, but other than that she seems fine.
We made banana bread this morning - she managed to peel the bananas all by herself and also got involved in mashing them with a forkShe very nearly also managed to put a blob of butter in her mouth, but overall I'd consider it a success!
Sunshine, we have a budding librarian here too - she loves books. We borrowed 8 books from the library last week based on two criteria: 1) cardboard pages, lots of colours, flaps and things to look at/talk about, and 2) cleanliness. Some of the books were seriously grubbyWe're lucky in that we've got three libraries nearby - I haven't yet checked out the other two for children's books.
Katie, thanks for the Boots tip - will have a look there this afternoon. Need to do a bit of shopping, plus I think some fresh air will do LO good
Lazywife, sorry you had a bad night - hope you manage to have a nap later.
Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday x0 -
Paracetamol mission was a failure - Boots said they'd never seen one with a non-strawberry flavour for under-6s, and the 99p shop only had - surprise, surprise - strawberry-flavoured. I've just read a Netmums thread called 'My child hates Calpol' where someone said they'd had more success with the one that contains sugar than with the sugarfree one, so I might get that tomorrow.
LO is napping again after an otherwise successful shopping trip and a nice lunch of ricotta and spinach tortelliniThink I'm going to have a nap myself...

Lazywife, hope it was a one off and you get a better night tonight.
Nutella, yay for a good night. Hope the banana bread was yum.
Back from softplay, Aiden only slept for 50mins so is now tired but refusing to give in!! XxLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

I've not read back so missed the detail but the first ever one I bought wasn't strawberry flavoured. It was cherry. Parapaed it's called."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Oh sorry, must have imagined it. Hope you some luck with the sugar one. My mil got that one for at hers once, it is much nicer than the sugar free!
We just had the worst mealtime ever with George, went totally mental as soon as I put tea in front of him (chilli, which he usually loves) and didn't stop. At all. Until OH changed him into his pjs and just put him to bed. So he's had absolutely nothing to eat, and not even had his supper time milkNewborn thread member

Oh no. Any idea why?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

He obviously needed the sleep then! All of mine have done this at one point and there's never been any lasting issues. He will be ready for his breakfast when he wakes up though
For the times they have calpol I don't see the need for sugar free... It's not like they have half a bottle every night!
Little miss likes the new buggy, in fact spent a large proportion of the afternoon sat in it even though we stayed at home :rotfl:
OH seems to think he can sort out the other one so it can be sold so happy daysSunshine do you know anywhere you can get the colour packs cheaply? The one we got comes in a rather boring shade of grey!

Nope. He's been kind of sensitive the last week or so - one minute happy as ever next grumbly and whiney, but yesterday and today he's been much better with the separation anxiety that was bothering him. He's been happy being left with OH while I'm in another room, but tonight he was screaming and trying to get out of the he highchair chair to get to me
. I still guess its teeth - it's so out of character there has to be something going on.
Hope so Delain! I'll make sure I've got brekkie ready as soon as he wakes up.Newborn thread member
