Guess what..... I've just ordered a breadmaker! :j It's arriving on Tuesday - I'm soooo excited! Went for the one Marta's got (I trust her to research these things properly ;)) and given that it was also a Which? 'best buy', then it was a no-brainer really :D

20% off pushchairs and car seats at Babies R Us - end midnight Sunday :)
  • Hv was very pleased with our weaning process :)

I went along to my local sling library, got talking to two ladies who were lovely, I was last to be seen however so I was there for two hours and by the end my lo was very tired and grumpy. Also was sick all over the floor... Little bit embarrassing lol!

I have now got a sling to use for the next week so tonight me lo and oh went for a walk round the park across the road and lo fell asleep so I think he approves? One of the ladies wears her daughter on her back, she just chucked her over and I was amazed and also terrified lol! Knowing my luck I'd chuck him right over and he'd land at the other side. I loved being able to carry him round without holding him though, bet hell be more of a mummy's boy now however!
Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!
  • Glad sling library was useful MrsH, even if there was a bit of sick!

My MIL has her other two grandchildren overnight every Friday night, since they were born, on the pretence that it gives SIL a "break" for the weekend. She gets quite stroppy that she can't just "take" LO and do the same, because I'm bf.... erm no, it's cos I don't want you to just take my baby for a night, if he was ff I wouldn't want you to have him every weekend either. Lola, It's up to you, it's very personal and different families work differently. I think you'll have to give in at some point if she's keen to have her, but put your foot down that you want her to stay in the travel cot this time and when you've personally introduced her into her own bed you'd like her to carry on with the routine.

Has anyone got a babystyle oyster?

I'm thinking about getting one for little miss as her big sister is much more independent at wanting to walk and you can get a sort of buggy board for them which would be ideal for us.

The stroller types always seem a bit flimsy to me, and I wouldn't want to use them for the distance that we walk. Poor little miss would get her teeth rattled out of her head :o

Also I'm a bit out of touch on where is the best place to go to get one? budget is king I'm afraid :o I've seen some second hand ones on ebay but I don't know if that's the way forward as £150 odd seems a lot for second hand!

    Help :o

    Lol Nutella x x
I found a lot of good reviews from other MSE members, the breadmaker threads are constantly mentioning the Panasonic ones. I am on a kcal counting diet now (lost 5kg so far, yepeee) and I am trying not to make too much bread at the moment because I eat lots, I am having the Warburton's thins instead, but the pizza setting is dead quick and makes awesome pizzas. I made one with the ingredients of Pizza Express' La Reine (ham, portobello mushroom, cheese and tomato passatta) and my DH loved it!

    I do I do I do!!!!

I love it :D definately not flimsy. Good size basket underneath, diff handle heights, parent or outer facing and you can change the colours. Im currently on apple green :)

I know they do hold thier value, but maybe one would come up on ebay etc a bit cheaper?

What else do you want to know?

I've been thinking about it and maybe I can recoup the value by selling the bits from my Phil & Ted and maybe get OH to repair the dodgy bit so I can sell the pram itself (the front wheel seems to have a mind of it's own, which makes it really hard to steer, it's doing my back in and makes me look like a drunk mummy weaving all over the show and crashing into things on the bus :o) plus if not I can sell the second seat, double rain and sun covers etc to try and get some money back. When OH agrees and we have the funds I will look on ebay and if I can't find anything maybe splash out on a new one.

To be fair on the Phil & Ted I have had it since squeak was 8 months old and it has been on and off buses and walked more than 400 miles just on school runs this last year :rotfl: so maybe I have just used it to death!

Am just waiting on Asda to bring my shopping... and trying to sneak in a cuppa before things get too mad whilst the horrors are eating their breakfast. Honestly sometimes by the end of the day there are 8 barely touched cups of tea sitting around the house because it seems putting the kettle on is a trouble magnet! Anyone else have the same problem?

Good luck to those with breadmakers... You've all inspired me! I've got a cookbook with a recipe for some garlic and rosemary bread I've been meaning to try for ages. I might have a crack at that this afternoon. I tried to make it once before we had the mixer and it was like dwarf bread :o I don't think I kneaded it properly.

I hope everyone has a lovely Saturday :) What are you all up to today?

I get one cup of tea a day, soon as little terror goes to sleep, big terror is ordered to fetch tea plus biscuit immediately!

My inlaws don't get to babysit, partly because I don't trust them, and partly because he's up and down like a yoyo all night and I don't think they'd deal with it. OH was a put in the cot and left till morning baby.
