I don't have in-law issues anymore, as I like OH's family and they live about a hundred miles away :rotfl:
Oooh I've seen an oyster on gumtree for 130, looks in good condition. Is that a good price?!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Whats included with it? If its in good condition, tyres arent too worn and not scratched alot on the frame etc then it sounds a good price, but if Im honest you can get brand new pushchairs for that on offer I think. Sure I saw a quinny on offer in boots for 140.
If its an oyster you want though, then obvs I reccomend one  guessing you wont need the carrycot etc so perhaps if thats included she will come down a bit without it.
Just been to town as OH is at work today, A is asleep so watching the bake off. Next sale wasnt great here, got a pair of chinos and a tshirt for him and that was it.

The thing I wanted the oyster for was the buggy board! If you put them on other buggies they void the warranty and I don't like the way they fit. Also I like that it's rear facing too.
I have seen a couple quite cheap on precious little one so I'm going to see if I can talk OH in to it. If I strip the phil & ted and see if that fixes the problem then I can get £200 or not far off on gumtree with all the bits that it has, meaning the oyster will more or less pay for itself.
The oyster was gone from gumtree within an hour and OH is working so didn't even get chance to talk to him about it!
I think I definitely want that one though. I am expecting comments on the bus about switching to a 'smaller' buggy and still having one the size of a tank :rotfl::rotfl:
I am going to have a bit of a clearout and bung some things on netmums I think. I have so much stuff I don't need just hanging about.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Ahh yes you did say before....sorry haha!!
I had my mamas and papas furniture from precious little ones, really good service. They used to price match, but that was 18months ago now.

Yes they still have a price match but not needed in this case as they are far and away the cheapest. I might actually photograph my P&T and list it on gumtree and netmums to see if it gets any interest at the price I'd like so I can show OH
first I'll need to find the pesky little adaptor bits... I've got a feeling they are in the box on top of the wardrobe... If I'm posting later from hospital then this didn't end well :rotfl:

Evening all
Hope everyone's well and had a good day. LO and I went to our 'other language' playgroup and she made a bracelet from elastic band and big beads - she's very proud of itBut she's now got a temperature (to add to her existing cold), so I'm expecting a messy night
On that note, does anyone know if there's such a thing as orange-flavoured Calpol/own brand paracetamol-based equivalent? I tried giving LO Calpol this afternoon, but she's decided that she no longer likes it and spat it out! We went to our local chemist, which had lots of different alternatives, all with that same 'strawberry' flavour (which is vile, and tastes nothing like strawberry!). I bought one in the hope that it might taste better than Calpol, but she didn't like that either. She does like orange-flavoured Nurofen, which works for teething, but I'd like to have a paracetamol-based option too. Help!
The washing machine is on, the bathroom has been cleaned and the lightbulb in the spare room has finally been changed... Am now eating icecream and watching X Factor on ITV+10 -
I think I remember seeing an orange version in the 99p store and I do know people who swear by it!
I love strawberry calpolnone of the other strawberry ones taste as good
OH is going to pick up an Oyster from a gumtree lady in the morning :j
I've ordered the buggy board from kiddicare with free guaranteed Monday delivery and cashbackOne happy mummy.
Have got a tired little miss sitting on my knee at the moment, hopefully I can get her in bed in a mo and clean the kitchen upMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Delain, yay for buggy and board!
Just been googling paracetamol and four different orange flavoured ones came up - all for 6 years and upwards. Boo. So pinning my hopes on own brand - thanks for the 99p shop tip.
I think it's bedtime. I already have a sleeping child in my bed - she woke up crying and very hot, but Nurofen and cuddles got her back to sleep. Here's hoping it stays that way - I'm tired! Good night all x0 -

How did she sleep Nutella? Hope it was a good night! Have you tried boots for the orange calpol? We have boots own and I half remember having to choose between orange and strawberry. Strawberry all the way here though.Newborn thread member
