It is thanks, but half of it has disappeared! LO's had one slice and OH is away, so where did it go?... :whistle:0 -
He obviously needed the sleep then! All of mine have done this at one point and there's never been any lasting issues. He will be ready for his breakfast when he wakes up though
For the times they have calpol I don't see the need for sugar free... It's not like they have half a bottle every night!
Little miss likes the new buggy, in fact spent a large proportion of the afternoon sat in it even though we stayed at home :rotfl:
OH seems to think he can sort out the other one so it can be sold so happy daysSunshine do you know anywhere you can get the colour packs cheaply? The one we got comes in a rather boring shade of grey!
You just have to keep an eye out, my apple one was 35 off boots.com on offer, they usually retail at 50. Precious little one do them for 45ish I think, ebay sometimes have new ones on for 35ish and used ones are always worth a watch as you can wash them anyway xxx
Katie, Aiden has done that twice before. He woke up like nothing had happened, starving though lol xxxLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Hi ladies
Feeling bad I can't get in here much at the moment but hope everyone is ok.
Noah was diagnosed with ASD (autistic spectrum disorder) on Friday and has already been out on a list for a special needs preschool in our area as the paediatrician and his speech and language therapist don not think he will be able to attend a mainstream preschool.
The dr said its a waiting game to see what the future holds for him.:)DS1 10yrsDS2 7yrs :)DS3 born March 2012

Sorry to read that hun, big hugs to you and your OH. My nephew is just 3 and is also autistic, they didnt think he would be able to attend mainstream school either, he has attended a special needs nursery for the last 8months and has come on leaps and bounds, they are now hopeful he will be able to attend mainstream school with just some additional help, so you never know.
Hope you are coping okay though. My sister has had alot of support from midland psychology and CAMHS, not sure if you have an equivalent there? They wouldnt diagnose my nephew till he was almost 3 though as they said they couldnt be sure till he hit that age? Something to do with developments and blood cells, I know he has had a few blood tests.

Sammie, that must be so hard for you all, I don't really know what to say. Good to see you on here, been thinking of you. Don't feel bad about not coming on here much at the moment though - we're not going anywhere and will still be here come rain or shine0

Thanks sunshine. Noah has blood tests next week but that's to see if its a genetic reason he has autism. I think portage is a bit like camhs, he will be having weekly home visits from them and will also see his speech and language therapist every 3 weeks. He will also see 2 paediatricians at the hospital on a regular basis, a key worker and an occupational therapist. I can't fault the NHS, they have been so quick in getting the help for him.
I'm glad your nephew is progressing welldoes he have speech? We are working on macaton at the moment and picture cards.

Quick one just popping in, drowning in ironing here, as per!
Massive hugs Sammie, and glad to see you've had prompt help and diagnosis through the NHS, people are so quick to moan about them but good to see you praising them! We're always here if you need us.
Hi everyone else *waves* Smyths were doing 20% off this weekend fri-mon so I popped in today to get a few bits for the C wordSome of the shelves were bare and it was chaos!! I picked up a V Tech Toot Toot Garage and waited 45 minutes to pay for it  and after coming home I realised it was online too, DOH! so we ordered a cozy coupe car too £36, which is the cheapest I have saw them recently. Worth a look online if youre looking for anything.

They have been great with my sis too. His nursery do makaton with him and my sister does picture cards, he misses out certain syllables out of his words but you can definately make out what hes saying. She has been told to focus on his eye contacr at home as he doesnt focus much and they say his eyes resemble babies when they are constantly looking around. He also takes her hand to what he wants, i.e. a drink, so she has to try and make him focus his eyes before she gives him what he wants. Apparently it will make him put a link between eye contact and communication.
I think he had blood tests to rule out something called fragile x syndrome. He has also very recently started doing imaginative play which they said autistic children do not do, I dont know why, but he does it. Honestly he has really come on in the last few weeks which just shows what can be acheived xxLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea
