I've just received a letter for my DD1's 18 mth check. I have no idea why, but I'm quite nervous, stupid really as she had mock development checks a few months ago (my friend works for a university hospital and they needed a guinea pig for some student doctors so she had 4 checks!!! :rotfl:)
Does anyone know what they do at these checks? It's being done by my hv and I used to see her on an almost weekly basis when I went to the bf group.Got married 13/11/10

Morning (almost afternoon oops!) ladies, and supersaver2, welcome!
Rubbish news on your buyers sunshine, hope someone else comes along quickly. We're thinking of moving early next year but we'll be moving from Surrey to the Midlands so its more than a bit daunting trying to figure out OH getting a job, finding a house, finding a buyer for our flat etc etc etc. Don't know which we should be doing first!
Savage I agree re the BLW banana muffins are maybe not saleable but if it helps for at home I keep them in the freezer and give them a quick blast in the microwave at snack time, they go down just as well as fresh out of the oven.
Took G for a walk around some abbey ruins near us this morning, a load of blokes were there setting up for filming a new Merryl Streep film in a few weeks! Might have to go back for another nosey nearer the time
Where in the Midlands? I am west midsx

I received two lovely little wooden jigsaw puzzles in the post today
I've no idea why - I can't remember entering any competitions and I definitely didn't order them. But that's one (free) Christmas present for LO sorted! :money:

We'll be looking East Mids, around Nottingham as mil lives there. Going to be a big move when we actually do it!Newborn thread member

OH and I have talked about moving, but can't figure out where we'd want to move to! When we bought our flat as first time buyers, we were only going to do a bit of DIY and then sell it and move somewhere else a couple of years later. 10 years later and we're still here - with a new kitchen, new bathroom, new boiler, new windows, new doors, new carpets, new flooring, all walls repainted and the front garden re-done - and now we can't face the idea of moving as we actually love it here0

Ahh its hard isnt it Nutella? We always knew our first house wouldn't be for long, but we have still had windows redone, plastered throughout and a new bathroom! We knew we would eventually move on as we always planned to have more than one child and it just isnt big enough here unfortunately.
Hope everyone is okay. A has those pointy cannine teeth at the bottom coming through
Supersaver - glad LO is back to normal today and bargain highchair!!
Three viewings over the weekend so hoping we sell again!

Fingers crossed for viewings Sunshine! We'd have to move if we had another child - or lose the spare room which isn't actually spare at all, as it's used for nappy changing, OH's teenage son at weekends, visiting relatives including my parents, and I sometimes sleep there too with LO when she struggles to settle.... Another reason not to have a second child!
Speaking of moving, Gilly's big move is round about now, isn't it? Must be why we haven't heard from her for a while - probably mad busy. Gilly, if you're lurking but not finding the time to post - hope everything is going well x
Off to bed - good night all x0 -
Yes, I think Gilly is moving about now - good luck Gilly!
Night Nutella - hope your LO is sleeping better xLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

We've definitely outgrown our fairly small 3 bed house... but we are renting and OH's earnings not huge so the only LLs that will consider us tend to be the sort you don't want to rent from! Current LL really good and not likely to suddenly want to sell. We've been here almost 6 years and likely to be a few more I reckon
Good luck to those of you moving or trying to - I don't envy you doing it with babies!
Little miss been lovely today, giggly and happy. Squeak was great when her sister was asleep... now she's in bed having been tired and stroppy for a couple of hours
Twin terrors are still awake but you can't have it all and at least we don't have to get up early tomorrow.
Am just doing ASDA online shoppingwon't get it done if I spend all evening on here :rotfl: wanted to get out shopping today as only had the little ones but there is a big event this weekend in town and several smaller ones in other places all casing chaos so we didn't get out. I was after going to Lidl (classy, me
) but the buses are historically really awful when all this stuff is on and I'm being lazy not wanting to walk to the shops. There'll be plenty of time for all that when school is back in next week!
Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I think its safe to say we've outgrown our one bed flat now
. Oh and I are sleeping on a sofa bed so G can have his proper room. My mum stayed over and had to share with him! Oh well, not forever
. Longer we stay here the more equity we'll have to move.
