I've always wondered what they do for the rest of the year?... Do the vans have a secret second life as burger vans in winter? A peel-off cover revealing a range of German sausages to be sold at Christmas markets? This has been bothering me for years0

We don't have an ice cream van
There is 1 that is outside the school everyday at 3pm, he must be a multi millionaire the amount of ice cream he sells. The queue is ridiculous sometimes!:)DS1 10yrsDS2 7yrs :)DS3 born March 2012

Helloo!! Still there unfortunately. We don't have an appointment till next January now. They've ruled out all the basics though. No allergies thank goodness, lungs and chest are clear. No reflux. The next stage is to put him under GA and have a look at this throat etc. But we said no to that, and they agree. While its not causing him any pain etc, best just leave it and keep at the asthma pump for now to see if that helps. They can't diagnose asthma as he is too young, but I have it, so it's a possibility.
So has Aiden's come back again? x
Heypoor Charlie, I agree about the GA though, when Aiden was in hospital they wanted to tube feed him and we refused it. My BIL has asthma and my MIL so he may have it too. His cough always comes and goes tbh, he is never without it for more than a couple of weeks. Everytime we go to the GP his chest is clear so they just advise the inhalers.
Is Charlie snotty with it?

No, not all the time. Only when he's got a cold with it (bloody nursery germs). He wakes up, and has a coughing fit. Sounds like he's gasping if you know what I mean. I need to get him using the pump every night tbh.
Has Aiden had an allergy test? xDFD February 2012

But seriously, you never see an ice cream van in a car park or outside someone's house in December, do you?... Thought not. So where are they? Maybe I should write to Channel 4 and ask them to investigate
Next time the girls have one I'll ask the man :rotfl::rotfl: I might get them one tomorrow just so I can find out. They'd love you guys if they knew :rotfl:
Poor LO's been kept awake by everyone being completely crazy... I feel slightly like the old woman who lived in a shoe doing all this by myself
I've run up the stairs and back down 20 times or more tonight and actually broke a sweat at bedtime. anyone want to swap?!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Morning ladies
Hope everyone's nights were good.
Delain, that sounds like really hard workWhen's your OH back? He'd better bring back a lovely present for you! But thanks for offering to help solve the mystery of the ice cream vans - I've never managed to pluck up the courage to ask, but I guess you could always pretend that one of your children wanted to know, rather than some nutter on the internet! :rotfl:
Have a good day all - I'm tired and had to buy an espresso at the station this morning just to get the energy to squeeze myself onto a train to central London x0
