It really depends, is she going to sleep with rocking etc? Because my A stopped being rocked to sleep around 16 weeks (his choice, he wouldn't entertain it) so when he got to the standing up stage, we literally had to keep laying him down, even if it was 100 times, we just kept going back in and saying night night, sleepy time etc, and very little crying, but I dunno if that will work for you or not, but like Fluff nothing lasts, not even the good phases

Evening everyone, hope you have all had a fab bank holiday weekend.
Moneypenny, we are having the same thing when I put the girls down to nap. They are so happy now they've learnt to stand, they want to do it all the time! The girls have been napping in their cots for about 5 months (they are 10 months next week). I have just been leaving them to it. They play about for 5 mins or so then they start crying. I've found if I go into the room to try and settle them or lay them down, it just makes them worse. Hope your LO settles for you soon
The girls are now constantly crawling around and standing up at furniture. Amelia has learnt to say Miaow, she can also now clap, wave and give me a kiss :T Mollie has started copying and waves and gives me a kiss. She watches Amelia like a hawk so think she will learn most things from her
Cant believe they will be 1 in two months. I need to start thinking of birthday party ideas :j:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -
Moneypenny, we had the same issue when LO learnt to crawl and stand up. I think they get so superexcited about their newfound skills, the last thing they want to do is sleep, but thankfully the novelty does wear off
I'd often take her out for a walk in the buggy if she wouldn't lie down for a nap.

Hope everyone's well and had a good weekend. We came home last night after 10 days at my parents' - had a lovely time, but it's nice to be back home too. LO was very excited about seeing daddy again - she followed him around all morning saying 'daddy, daddy' and wanted lots of cuddles. She might be a little upset when she wakes up from her nap and realises that he's gone to work...
Incredible thing happened this morningShe's got a jigsaw puzzle with jungle animals - there are pictures of them on the 'base' bit and then there are 7 pieces that you're supposed to match with the correct animal picture. She'd never got a single one right before - or rather, she'd probably never understood what she was meant to do, even though I'd tried to show her. This morning, she picked it up (for the first time in 10 days, as we'd been away) and put the elephant on the picture of the elephant - and we thought it was a coincidence. But then she kept going - the giraffe on the giraffe picture, the bear on the bear picture... until she'd done all 7 correctly! OH and I were just sat there staring at her and wondering what on earth had just happened - it was a major Proud Parents Moment :T
Hope everyone has a good day x0 -

Charlie was 18mnths the other day. I can't believe how quickly that has come. But at the same time feel like he has been a part of my life for sooooo long if you know what I mean....Good times!!!
He recently went through a phase of not eating any hot meals at home, but it looks like we have turned that corner thank goodness. Eats like a trooper at nursery!! xDFD February 2012

Always ask you, but hows the cough? Aiden is bad again, may be a trip to the docs if he isnt better in the morn.
YAAAAYYY nutella!! Clever girlie!

Helloo!! Still there unfortunately. We don't have an appointment till next January now. They've ruled out all the basics though. No allergies thank goodness, lungs and chest are clear. No reflux. The next stage is to put him under GA and have a look at this throat etc. But we said no to that, and they agree. While its not causing him any pain etc, best just leave it and keep at the asthma pump for now to see if that helps. They can't diagnose asthma as he is too young, but I have it, so it's a possibility.
So has Aiden's come back again? xDFD February 2012
