My lo whacked his dummy on his head a few times today and it went red!!

Moneypenny - thank you for asking, my lo is ok! We're back on comfort milk because it seems he can be on staydown milk for 4-5 weeks and then his reflux goes mad, so only being 5 weeks off weaning age I'm just going to see how long I can keep him on comfort milk before he goes mad and then change him back to staydown! I remember the hv telling me that I shouldn't be changing his milk so often but I'm going to do whatever I need to get him to weaning and hope that it'll go better from there!

Question for the older lo, mummies. What highchairs do you rate? Going to get one soon and I'm excited!

Christening in less that 3 weeks now, the whole family in one room! Eek! Bought him a silk romper! Very swish! Going to pick it up tomorrow!

Congrats nikkiann and well done on getting so dilated before getting to hospital :)

Banama (I think) happy birthday for the weekend, hope you had a great time!

    Sorry if I've forgotten anyone!

I have a Mamas and Papas Snax which I love purely because it seems comfy and has a basket. I love the basket, it houses bibs, wipes and highchair toys. The downsides are the top part of the harness comes undone and the straps get sooooo grubby but can be taken off for washing in the washing machine. If they sorted out the darned harness I'd love it even more - currently waiting on a replacement harness...

My little one didn't have reflux but always threw up her milk and since she has been weaned, she has barely been sick, even a couple of spoons of baby rice in the early days (17 weeks) just helped her keep it down. Hope it improves when he is weaning! :) The Christening romper sounds lovely!!!

Gilly - I have visions of A being a mini Dobby the house elf - "bad Dobby" and starts banging his head against random objects! :D
  • 2 hours of crying and my lil lady has fallen asleep without my boob in her gob for the first time ever! I'm hoping it improves and fairly quickly as I was very close to giving in but we did it and I afforded myself a small jig in celebration much to my oh's bemusement! The latest round of pitying looks I received when asked about her falling to sleep and how she sleeps at night coupled with my impending return to work means I'm going to try & get it so she doesn't need a boob every time she wakes up so hopefully if/when she does wake my oh and I can take it in turns to settle her again.

We have another head banger here, headbutting seems to be her 'thing' atm and although she often leaves my eyes watering it never seems to bother her so I'm ignoring it hoping she grows out of it, being a mean mummy I prefer the cot getting headbutted over my nose :o

Congrats and welcome to all new mummies!

We have a Cosatto 3sixti. I adore it, recommend it to everyone and it comes with a 4 year guarantee :D We still use it now at 18m and will continue to do so for a long time.

    Dobby is soooo cute :o

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Congrats NikkiAnn & welcome.
Saf: I've reserved M, Tu, Th, F at nursery, but hope to not need Tu. I've explained I'll be able to give 8 wks notice to confirm the exact days and they seemed to take that ok. Maybe you could do the same. Sounds a bit of a mess though, hope it sorts itself out soon.
MrsH: my sister had the ikea high chair which she's passed on to us. It's cheap and easy to clean. Oooh exciting for the Christening.
DDB well done on getting her to sleep without b00b, hopefully it'll be a bit quicker next time!

    Not read properly but...

Moneypenny, my boss can be pretty great. If I feel I need to go back for a couple of longer days then I'm sure I can pop home to express (it's a couple of minutes drive) or have use of my office for the time needed. I think I just don't want to go back!

Mrsh2b, thank you. And high chair - ikea white plastic one of £16 with the tray (£12 without tray). I love it. Perfectly sized, easy to clean, legs pop out making it easy to put in the car (trips to grandparents and what not) and best of all it's £16!!!

Another vote here for the Ikea highchair. I had a nice tripp-trapp style one but without a tray. I was fed up of the table getting trashed with mashed banana and whatnot that I bought a cheapy one with a tray. He'll go in the tripp trapp again once he can use a bowl. I think it will be great for when he's older and sitting at the table as he won't need a cushion on a chair. But for babies, a tray all the way I reckon.

little miss won't use a highchair now :( probably because her sisters all sit at the table and she wants to join in! she did have a booster for the chair but started getting up herself and sitting somewhere else!

we've got a table protector thingy on it though thank goodness.

she is pretty good though, makes less mess than squeak (3 next month)

on another note: hooray proper rain! :j:j

bigger 3 are off out later so squeak can get her wellies on and go puddle jumping :D
