Thanks Nutella :D have given up for tonight, closing date isn't until 6 August so I have plenty of time to steadily do it.

Night all, sleep well babies xx

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Hello!
Was waiting for the end of the weekend for forum to be updated and have found that I could have been chit chatting away since Saturday. Been at MIL over the weekend. Family party and then just spending time with SIL too. T enjoyed it, but finds it very tiring (as do I!), he's cheery for a short while and then just flakes out... still looks cute though so he still got lots of ooohs and aaaaahs.
Got second lots of jabs tomorrow (he was 12 weeks on Saturday) so calpol is on stand by.
Popped into the nursery I'd thought about to have a look around on Friday. It was amazing. They did so much and were all lovely people. It was so welcoming and I felt a massive sense of relief, sort of felt bad that T is with boring old me for a few more months than getting to go this fab playtime every other day! I've never needed to see a nursery before and the whole curriculum etc really impressed me, just got to budget £39.70 per day now. I've gone so early as to guarantee a place for in him April I have to reserve my spot from September (tend to move them up in school year groups).... they don't charge for this, so I'm happy to do so and she advised from Jan to pop in for some sessions (again no charge if I'm with him) and gradually let him play on his own over the months so it doesn't seem so scary when he's dropped off there (both for me and him!) Did mean I had to have an honest chat with work too though. I've been full time, so needed to get an ok that I can go back part time. They've said I can apply for flexible working and it shouldn't be a problem, but I need to wait until nearer the time of me returning (April 2014) to fill out the paperwork.
Meeting friend for Afternoon tea later. Yummmm nice excuse for a piece of cake!
Hope a good weekend had by all.

    Morning :-)

I was also waiting for today to post again.

lazywife A had her 12week jabs last week and I had calpol on standby but she was smiley, happy and chatty after them. Had a couple days of dodgy nappies but otherwise you'd not know she had them. Fingers crossed your LO is ok with them too.

I popped in to visit work on Friday. Seems the unit I work on will be closing come Sept and a new one opening at an as yet undecided location. I also need to reduce my hours on my return but HR is struggling at present (2 staff resigned) and next to useless (took three weeks to reply to an email and still waiting on a return phone call) and my manager has left! Little unsure who to talk to as likewise need to reserve her nursery place but need to give which days I need when I do... Which I can't get until work will discuss it with me, next year.

Anyway, just off to pick up new flooring for the hallway. Carpet on stairs and landing being fitted tomorrow and I managed to make headway into getting the spare room ready for mom's arrival on Thurs... Manic few days, thankful A had a nap this morning :D

Great news that you've found a nursery you love lazywife! Hope the jabs are ok.

Blimey Saffagal, your work sounds like a bit of a mess, hope they get themselves organised so you can sort out your nursery days.

Sunshine good luck with your application!

Hope you enjoyed your bday Bamama, what film did you watch?

G has been asleep for an hour now, stuck in limbo - if I start doing anything fun now I've done my jobs you can guarantee he'll be awake in seconds!

Hope G stayed asleep Katie. We watched The Da Vinci Code. Nothing special lol.

Glad I'm not the only one getting a headache over returning to work. I have no idea what to do. Feeling a lot of pressure from OH to go back. He thinks we can't afford for me not to. I don't have long to decide. I'm thinking about easing back into it... Few hours a week and just work up from there. Dewi is dropping boobie feeds and really enjoying his food. I'm hoping maybe I can stick to 4hr days for a while rather than long stretches. I've worked out that I need to do 18/19hrs to get the same as me being on maternity.

Saf, could you reserve a full time nursery place and then change it to part time once you know which days you'll need? I'd have thought it'd be worth checking if you could do this or whether it would incur a charge?

:rotfl:Thanks for the tip - I'll remember that next time I'm in Sainsbury's* wondering what to get for LO's dinner :p

*Or is Sainsbury's too middle class too? Should I go to Iceland instead? :rotfl:

Not even sure they sell them in Sainsbury's. They don't in Waitrose :D
