Luke tends to stay up with us until quite late, snoozing in his chair. Am hoping that in a few weeks time he will go longer between feeds and can put him down earlier. Thanks for the tip about the washing up bowl lazywife, i haven't mastered the art of getting a good hold of him in the baby bath and he wriggles so much and is quite slippy, it scares me!
Welcome and congratulations! The foam bath support that Mothercare (and others, I'm sure) sell is fab - it stops them from slipping about quite so much0 -
My LO's been eating citrus fruit from 6 months too with no side effects. Snack time at the nursery often includes orange, which I doubt it would do if it was a common trouble-maker as they're very careful with things like that! I do think there's an issue with orange juice though, which Kayalana mentioned - I don't think you're supposed to give them that un-dilluted. Although personally I've never given my LO (now 14 months) any kind of juice in any shape or form...0

Dewi has eaten mandarins and we've had no issues. I could see orange juice being a problem though. It's concentrated so they would be getting a lot more acid than you'd find in one satsuma/mandarin etc.0

Hmm...I might try him with an actal orange and see how he takes it...OJ was watered down but perhaps still to strong for him.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
Agree with Nutella, I wouldn't recommend any sort of juice like that for a baba, but whole seems to be ok here
He really likes clementines and satsumas.
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
We had a fab day today, my oh had the day off so we took Shay to a local farm and she loved it, although not too sure the goats appreciated her attempting to poke their eyes out whilst I was feeding them lol. It's free entry so I can see weekly visits occurring from now on although the farm cafe and shop visits will be more limited as I spent a blooming fortune
She also showed her daddy all her new skills that I've been telling him about but up until today she has refused to demonstrate when he's been around. She shakes her head to say no when I say yes mummy, she waves bye bye, she says bang bang whilst hitting whatever is closest, she dances (well more like a head bop) if you ask her to and she's been shouting dad at the top of her lungs all day - made him realise he's missing out on a lot with how busy he is so we are from now on going to have at least 1 family outing a week which will be lovely. He also admitted he felt left out when she was tiny as I was breastfeeding and she only wanted me all the time and now she's 'more interesting' he doesn't want to miss out anymore.
So, as I said, a fab day lol
Welcome and congratulations minimuffin!
Hope everyone else has had a good day x0 -

A had her 12 week jabs this afternoon and has been happy, laughing and chatting all evening. She even went in her rocker for 45min whilst I cooked and OH and I then ate dinner! Maybe they had some jolly potion in? When she got them she only cried for 10seconds after the second one: basically until I picked her up.
Anyway, I've. been super excited this evening. One of OH's colleagues gave us a jumperoo that they'd been given but their LO has now grown out of so I spent the evening cleaning itHe wasn't sure I'd want it but of course I did! It will be great for A for some short play sessions when she's a little older.
Hoping she's as good as she's been this afternoon later on
Wishing all a good night0 -
What a brave little girl saffa, mine whimpered for a while afterwards and then slept for two days just waking for a bottle lol! He handled the second ones best, went home and was back to smily self! Likes to let everyone know he's had them done at the doctors though!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0

My smallest 2 have eaten Satsumas from 6 months, it's the concentrated fruit juices that are best avoided. Plus it's pretty good to get them used to drinking water as it'll likely be water or milk at nursery when the time comes.
I took little miss for shoes today, as she has up to now worn her sisters cast offs (horrible mummy) but we had none that fitted! Turns out she's on course for her sister's old lovely Clarks winter boots for this year though :j she looked lovely running around the park in them with her sisters though.
How are the school holidays treating you sammie? And anyone else who has school aged kids too...
At least it's a short one this year.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o
