I don't have a contract. But my boss mentioned paying it back if I didn't return. Would this be the case do you think? She claimed the money back for paying me. Or at least she should have been able to.
They'd have been able to reclaim a % of the smp paid to you and that element they can't ask you to repay but omp is a different issue and each employers policy would cover returning and repaying0 -
I that the stuff I had at the start? Can she just ask for it back... Even if I don't have a contract and it was not mentioned when I left?0

If you just got statutory mat pay you won't have to pay it back its just if you got anything on top of that. Stat = 90% first six weeks them about £135 per week for 33 weeks.

Only if it was payment on top of smp, as jonno says first 6 weeks smp is 90% of your average weekly earnings followed by 33 weeks basic smp. If the company have a maternity leave policy that would include details with regard to repaying omp, I know my boss never specifically mentioned it to me but signing my mat paperwork covers that I'd read and accepted the policy x0 -
Oh yea. I just got statutory
while we're at it... Any links re: expressing at work?
