Well I've been waiting for this thunder and rain.... It's still really close here!
Went out for dinner with my friend yesterday, I don't think I'm getting enough so I'm going to make more of an effort to see people. My world has shrunk since I had my baby.
It's a shame I couldn't enjoy the warm weather so much but with lo heat rash I couldnt have him in the pram very long or the car seat because he was getting sweaty and it was making his heat rash worse.
What's everyone up to at weekend?Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
I haven't got as far as the weekend yet... But this morning I am dealing with two who are refusing to tidy their room and they are not coming downstairs until they have. I can see them having breakfast at lunchtime as they are currently standing on the stairs whinging!
Then I have got to look on the library website to see which books I've got to dredge up so we can go later... And renew any books I can't locate.
Tomorrow we have a pediatrician appointment at 9am 5 miles away.... We can leave here at half 7 and get there just after 9 or we can leave at 6.30  and wait almost an hourtimes like this I wish I could drive although our car is currently out of action so we'd be on the bus anyway.
Currently little miss is munching some toast, big little miss is curled up next to me still tired having been woken up way too early so we're in for a grumpy day!
Eta: grey here and was raining last night and this morning.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Hallo ladies
Cloudy here buy still warm. We had an incredible storm at 3:30 on Tuesday morning which took out the electricity for an hour and a half in our area. Also woke A up and so yesterday she was overtired and a bit grouchy. Finally managed to get her to nap about five yesterday afternoon and she then slept from 10:30 through to 7 this morning! And has just gone down for a nap - Woot!! I'm frantically trying to finish decorating the landing and hall before mom arrives next week so am off to paint the skirting boards.
Have a good day ladies

I hate that they've moved everything on this blooming forum! Where would you go to post up a thread for help deciding if you can afford to stay off work/how many hours it's worth going back for?0

Hey ladies, been a few days since I got on here. I'm in danger of becoming one of those "easier to check FB" naughties!
Well, the flipping royals have nicked our name! Can't blame them, who wouldn't want to name their baby after the cutest little guy ever?!
I'm soooo glad the hot weather is giving us a break for a few days, nice to be able to get out and do something without melting.
G had his first big tantrum this week, stamping his feet and everything! Little toerag!
Hope everyone is okNewborn thread member

It's so annoying Saf. Mainly because they won't just tell you what you'd get in benefits for each given situation.0

Bamama, have you tried the entitledto website? You can input what your joint income would be dependant on whether you return full time/part time/not at all. Also the tax credit section of the hmrc website is pretty good if you have the figures at hand, the thresholds were for me shockingly low though so I wouldn't hold out too much hope of entitlement aside from cb.
I worked out all our outgoings + 15% for emergencies and based my returning hours on that, have you tried something similar?
Oh and also double check your employers mat policy - I have to return for 3 months or would need to repay all omp so will be doing my 3 months and hoping in the mean time to find a job closer to home to cut out the 3 hours travel each work day.0 -
I don't have a contract. But my boss mentioned paying it back if I didn't return. Would this be the case do you think? She claimed the money back for paying me. Or at least she should have been able to.0
