Quick question, she sleeps well from 7/8 until 11/12 then screams like mad until about 2am - takes a bottle and goes to sleep until about 8am. We've tried stripping her off, one layer, rocking, offering bottle, giving infacol, skin to skin. Is this colic or something else? Anything more we can do?
Hi Sparkles...
Did i read that it was forceps delivery? If so my LO was forceps and she is 8 weeks now but she screamed and cried really bad for 2 weeks and apparently with forceps they can suffer quite bad headaches for a few weeks. My LO settled down from about 4 weeks and we started using gripe water and anti colic bottles then too and she only has 1-2 bad nights a week which is so much better than it was!DFW - Feb 2016 £19k

Hallo ladies
Just to feedback, following the recommendation last week, I bought one of those Lloyds Allergy Relievers and have now been using it for a week. It really is making a difference to me. The other day I managed to spend the entire afternoon out in the garden with only a few sneezes. I do have to use it regularly, and can tell when its getting to the time for a top-up, but to have a shiny red nose a few times a day is worth it to be able to enjoy the summer.
It's cooler here today, and LO is being a right pickle! Since waking this morning at 9 (OH has the day off), she has had two screaming fits, two feeds and played in her cot for a half hour. She is currently asleep on me after her second feed and I'm loathe to move as I know she needs to have a nap.
Hope that you're all having a good day0 -
Sunshine, he sleeps great when we're moving but wakes when we stop. He fed and slept for another hour so I'm relatively happy. He did smash up all his food this evening and burst out crying. Not sure what it was about. Boob didn't help. He did poo but it was rather soft so I don't think it was that. Who knows. Boobing him to sleep now so let's hope he goes! I'm desperate for a cuddle with my man!!! (The bigger one)0

Hello all, I'm home! Been away for a week and just got home earlier this evening.
Welcome to the new mummies!
How is everyone surviving the heat? I have read back, saw someone (DDB?) has a LO with heat rash? Hope it's not too bad, seems like the heat is set to last for a bit yet.
That's pretty much all I can remember, sorry, I'm exhausted, had a 5.5 hour drive home today and our air con is broken so it was a hot one! G was a star though, has been all week (other than waking in the night which isn't like him at all). Got some ADORABLE pics of him on his first seaside holiday, will try and post a couple when I get the camera sorted out. He was dashing around the beach with no nappy on giggling like a maniacNewborn thread member

Some lovely words of encouragement for all those with babies who wake frequently.

Been awake all night. Mollie had a temp of 102.5
Took her downstairs and stripped her down to her nappy and put her under the ceiling fan. I gave her water with apple juice ice cubes and she drank quite a bit. I've never felt anyone so hot before. Was awful. She wasn't too bad in herself until she started getting tired again and then she just wouldn't stop crying. Gave her calpol too and her temp eventually came down to 99.5
She's just woken up and her temp is 103 . She's back under fan with ice water but no idea whats causing it. She's playing normally with her toys and smiling at me. Will give her some more calpol and if that doesn't help, will give her a lukewarm bath
Any other tips ladies? Would you go straight to docs?:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -
Sounds like your doing all you can cake, would you be able to get an appointment for later in the day? That way you can see how she goes?
I'm sorry she's poorly I really hope her temp comes down. It's awful in this weather too!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0
