I bought all our 12-18m clothes for Christmas last year ;) and then went to Next Boxing Day and bought all our 18-24 month in the sale and wrapped them up for his Birthday at the end of January. Like Nutellas wee one he loved ripping them open, and he loves clothes now so I think he'd still be excited

I would like to point out though, that all the stuff I bought, still doesn't fit :rotfl:

:rotfl:But that's great - unless he goes through a sudden growth spurt, you can wrap up the whole lot again! Buy One Birthday, Get One Free - doesn't get more MSE than that! :money:

(My LO, who's 3 and a half months younger than yours, is starting to grow out of 18-24!)

Thanks for the discussion re: carriers. We are definitely looking for a back carrier as OH is refusing a front one, god only knows why! George is looking super cute and cosy in the photos! I think I'll go and see if I can find a sling library! Are they comfy to wear? My baby is now almost 20lb () and if I carry her into a shop for a minute my arms ache - even worse with the car seat !

LOVE the buy one christmas get one free Nutella :D:D

We bought little one presents last christmas, she was less than a week old, I wrapped up the gifts and I unwrapped them. She cried or slept through all of the unwrapping but me and OH loved it. One of the presents was a jumperoo! I'm certain she got zero out of it on the day! (She may or may not have left out a mince pie and a glass of milk for Santa too :o:D)

Marta - What is the Sky channel called? I am so fed up - I have lost all the baby weight but its the pre-baby weight I can't lose. I have a slightly miserable feeling about it so cheer myself up with a donut or such like, its a vicious cycle. We have had a whingey moany day here with little one and I've been a confused mummy all day. I have never seen her go purple in the face before when crying but I saw it today and I'm baffled by what it was. Hmm - she did improve sleeping once her teeth had cut through

Saffagal - On the day of little ones 8 week jabs we had a record 7 poos in one day followed by about 3-5 a day for a good few weeks after her previous form of missing a day or two of pooing. I'm certain the jabs did it! Didn't happen after the other two jabs...she was just mrs crabby pants after the 16 week jabs!

moneypenny, a lot of the carriers can be used as both front & back so you have the option :) Wraps are especially versatile if you have the time to practice/learn different carries. Everyone is different, some people love different types for different reasons. I know some people struggle with the straps on the connecta riding up into their neck, others find Manduca can get to warm in the heat, people find wraps too much to learn...I really do recommend going to a sling library & having a play :) maybe even hire a few & see what you think to them. George was 17lb 4 at last weeks weigh-in & I don't have any problems despite currently being under physio for my neck/shoulders! Tbh, he feels pretty weightless at times, even when he's asleep & I love the cuddles I get with wearing him :)

Have you tried a Madame Goo Goo Mrs_B? I am in love with the one I tried yesterday, I'm hopefully going to hire it from the library once my friend is done with it to try it for a month and then if we still love it as much, take the plunge :D

ahh those madame googoo carriers are so pretty, not sure OH will go for pink and floral but I think he could be convinced by the superheroes one! :)

Thanks Mrs_B and Gilly - I have just found my local sling library - can I hire them out is that basically what they do? Is there a charge? Sorry for all the questions, I'm intrigued!

Thanks Marta. Wishing you a sleepful night :D

My local sling library charge a £50 deposit which you get back, and £5 a fortnight or £7 for 4 weeks. They will all be different though :o

What they do is let you try out lots of different slings and carriers without having to buy, and you can find which is most comfortable :D Also gets you out and about to meet other mamas and bubbas x

Ooh that's brilliant! We may potentially only need one occasionally for our holidays and days out so it may work out really well and not too costly. Just been having a look at different types, the Beco carriers look like something we might like but will be good to try other types! Thanks again for the advice :)

It could be teething (although she's very young) or it could be the jabs or it could be some sort of bug, but if you're worried go back to the clinic and bring a 'sample' (i.e. a nappy with poo in it!) which they can send off for testing if you ask for it. My LO once had the kinds of nappies you describe for about 10 days, but she had diarrhoea, so I was worried about dehydration etc. They did some tests and found nothing, which helped reassure me that it was just a bug.

Could be a growth spurt x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
