    Morning ladies

I have been up since 330  not even baby related!! OH has my sickness bug so he has been up and down all night, I slept on a futon fold out chair thing in Aidens room but was wide awake after 330 :(

Been bleaching since 5 and just had a shower. Not sure how I will cope at wprl today. Planning on stopping at asda for red bull, chocolate and a bit of friit for lunch. May have to take some flexi and finish early. Ugh...yuck

Plus side, A slept dead well! Lol xxx

Oh no, sunshine, I hope you can get a nap later on!

Little V has a massive cold, she was coughing and struggling to breath all night. We co-slept and she managed to have longer stretches of sleep, although still not long enough! What can you do when they have a cold to help them? Should I go to the docs? It looks like a normal cold.

If she is blocked up you can get saline nose drops and pop a couple in just before a feed. Try and keep her proppped up a bit when she is asleep, you can use karvol/snuffle babe from 6mnths I think - it works best for us when its in a jug of hot water and the vapour/steam is in his room.

Aiden used to suffer with bad colds/bad chest. I rememer two nights the only way he would settle was in his car seat - not good I know but he was propped up and sleeping so we let him have a couple of hours in it.

    Hope she improves soon xxxx

Edit - re docs. Its entirely up to you, if you feel it would put your mind at rest for them to say she is clear and no infection etc then I would go, our docs always say they would prefer you to go so they can put you at ease rather than you be at home worrying. I always think with things like this its up to the individual x

    Morning :)

Sorry to hear of some bad nights :( Ours wasn't great either; she woke up crying at 2.30 and nothing would settle her, so I put her in bed with me. She slept until 6.30 - I got up when my alarm went off at 5.45 and had a shower and got her milk ready.

Hope mummies and babies with colds and bugs feel better soon x

Morning ladies, sorry there's been a few bad nights. Hope you can get off a bit early sunshine.

Your Sunday sounds lovely Nutella :). We went to visit the fil and family yesterday, had a lovely pub lunch and G was very well behaved except for a few minutes when he went batty at the sight of his dinner (the end of my fish with a few chips as a treat) until he realised that it was chips and then there was no stopping him!

Re carriers, we have a LittleLife backpack which is different to most of the sling type ones, this is ours http://www.littlelife.co.uk/products/child-carriers/child-carrier-range/voyager-child-carrier.html. It was expensive (£150) but its fab, and it has storage in it so you don't need an extra nappy bag. G loves it as he's so high up in it.

Got a tired boy already so got to go get the washing hung and him to bed I think, have good days all :)

Well that was an interesting nights sleep. Not a lot of it. We struggled to get him to go down in his cot in the beginning, up & down a lot but then he decided to wake up at 5:30 wanting to go in his jumperoo. Not a chance was that happening. I'm normally the soft one but seen as he & us were still tired there was no way! He came into our bed & then slept until 9am! I think he also has a cold. Tempted to pop & have him checked over but don't want to seem like a neurotic, first-time mum! I think my worry is the guilt I'd feel if something was really wrong & I didn't have him checked out!

I've not tried a Madame goo goo gilly, although they are pretty amazing! I'm trying to find a wrap that I'd have converted or a really cool fabric with owls on :) I love the fact when its a custom you have complete control & you can add extras onto the hood like bear ears etc!

Our local sling library works on a similar basis moneypenny, although I think the charges are different. There are somewhat do postal loans too for those people who can't get to collect or return them. Makes it slightly more expensive having to cover postage but not as expensive as buying a carrier & finding out you hate it! That said, a lot of the wraps & decent carriers don't lose a lot of value & you can sell them on in a lot of groups on Facebook. In fact some of the limited edition wraps are selling for a lot more than the original retail price! If you do go for a wrap I definitely recommend buying preloved though as it means someone has already done the hard work of breaking it in for you!

I have a wrap that I am confident with back carries, but for quick back carries (including daddy-friendly) I highly recommend a Bondolino. Most comfortable carrier I've ever worn (and I've tried a few!) so easy to get him up there, so quick to tie, easy to adjust, there's bits you can velcro/toggle closed or open to adjust the height and width to suit your baby - I LOVE IT! I paid £66 delivered for mine (new). I went for boring plain back because I wanted to have maximum resale value - but they do come in a few different colours. I'm thinking of maybe covering mine in a few patches to make it a bit trendier. But I would need spare time to do that, and I don't have any spare time! :D
  • We have teeth! :D

Feel really mean complaining about her rubbish sleeping lately and felt guilty as I didn't notice them until she bit me when feeding but who'd have thought 2 tiny lil white things could make me so excited x

Yay DDB. We're waiting on some here. He has massive bumps where his fangs should be.

I've just popped out for Anbesol, on Gilly's recommendation. Interested to know if anyone else buys it and how much it costs you? Gilly said she's paid around the £4.40 mark. I just paid £2.65! (Liquid one).
