katiechoc - the little life backpacks were the carriers I'd looked at to be honest. I assume from your post you like yours? I liked that it had a little bag section so we don't have to cart the massive changing bag too. Is it comfy?
Thanks to ALL who have suggested carriers, I'm going to look into them more this week thank you
DDB - That is fab news!Hope she is more settled for you now. DOn't feel bad, they literally just pop up overnight!
lazywife - we didn't give calpol before but nurse said go and get some so you have it in. we didn't need it. her advice was to get it because if you don't you'll likely need it
fluff - Either we were in the same cafe today or Freddie has a twin in the North West!0 -

Yes it's brilliant! It's comfy once you get it adjusted - on ours there are the shoulder straps, a waist strap and a chest strap that you can alter to spread the weight, eg when your shoulders get tired loosen those a bit and tighten the waist. Ours came with a sun canopy, rain cover and also little stirrups to puthis feet in. And he can sleep in it too, it has a little pillow at the front that he rests his cheek on and actually holds him steady, no floppy neck syndrome!
It's definitely more heavy duty than the sling types, and it obviously is heavier than those even before you get bubs in as there is a lot more structure to it. But I can't recommend it highly enough. Only thing I would say is check if the one you're looking at comes with the rain cover etc as although its cheaper to buy one that doesn't include it if you then decide you want it it can end up costing more. If you have a kiddicare or similar near you you can try them out and pop bubs in, G giggled like a loon when we first tried him in it.
Anyway, after that essay I'm off to get my commission from LittleLifeNewborn thread member

Evening ladies
Ooh, all this sling talk has been interesting to read. I've a wrap and a babasling both of which I love as can feed hands free in them which means I can still get on and do things when she's being clingy. I think A loves them too as she never complains when I pop her in. They also let me go out for walks round mine which I couldn't do with a pushchair. I can't really comment on a sling for an older child yet. But I'd not heard of bondolina, so looked it up... and just bought another sling - oops! But I did buy it in SA and its being delivered to my folks who'll bring it over for me so that was cheaper than buying it here/having it sent directly to me
I'm starting to suffer with hayfever. Popped into the pharmacy today and spoke to the pharmacist who said I can't take anything as breastfeeding and as A is only 2months old she's too young.
A just had a major meltdown whilst having cuddles with OH. She's now "talking" to someone/something over my shoulder.
Yay for the teeth DDB :j
Fingers crossed for a better nights sleep for all

I am at my wits end with hayfever and am finally willing to try the mad electrode things that go up your nose and make you look like Rudolph. They get great reviews: http://www.lloydspharmacy.com/en/allergy-reliever-15677 - not certain if they are ok with BF or not, I always forget to check that
Assume they will be as you aren't ingesting anything.

I've concluded that babies are strange little creatures. She still hates having her teeth brushed - she'll scream and try to wriggle away from her mean mother who keeps insisting that not brushing your teeth is not an option. Yet the moment I'm done she grabs the toothbrush, and holds onto it whilst she has her bath, has her pyjamas put on and gets put to bed. For the past two nights she's even fallen asleep still clutching her toothbrush. Just don't try brushing her teeth with it!0

Hi ladies
Well me and the little one are at my mums. OH is a bit better but I dont want to risk A catching it as OH has been awful, so we agreed its best to stay here. At least we can guarantee a good nights sleep. Feel a bit bad for OH but dont really want to risk it. My mums been treating me like a guest! Chippy for my tea, glass of wine, she put A to bed and she made me a tassimo before I came up to bedooh and shes made me a sandwich for work lol!!
Hope everyone sleeps well
