Marta sounds like what we had at 4months. Lasted 7 weeks!!!!!! No advice to offer just good luck. I was exhausted! :-(

Marta. I hope this doesn't depress you too much as I am sure we must be the exception, but Amelia has been just like you described since they were 24 weeks. and they are now 34 weeks :(

Mollie was the same but has been fine for the last 3 or 4 weeks so it lasted maybe 6 weeks for her.

No idea what it was with

    Sorry

Thanks Nutella, may give it a try.

The oat biscuits went down well :) going to try some different fruit too, cheaper than the little oaty cereal bars he likes!!

Got a really good plate today in sainsburys, it has a suction on the base so it wont budge when on his tray. Seems good so far. Also sainsburys had buy one get on half price on some kids clothes. Got A two pairs od trousers which can be rolled up and buttoned for 3/4 lengths or just full length for £6 :D

    Sleep well all.x

Hello ladies! I can sympathise now with the grumpy babies and poor sleep. I think teeth have hit us :( he was crying so much yesterday. Went to bed at 10 (which isn't unusual here) but woke at 12.40. We fell asleep together and when OH went to move him at 1.40 he was still attached to my boob. He woke obviously and it took me til 3.20 to get him back down. He did sleep until 7.30 then though so I guess they stopped hurting :)

Morning ladies, it's going quiet on here again! You all must be busy ladies.... I'm jealous :D

Oh went out last night, came home at 12 more drunk than he should have been! But guess who will pay for it today! I'm giving him a lie in and then he can take me to town and buy me some things like he said he would!

I enjoyed having a night to myself but couldn't sleep well knowing oh wasn't there! All that bed to myself for once and I didn't even appreciate it!

Went to see my grandad yesterday, lo was laughing and smiling for him he loved it! Said he was proud of me, made me very very happy.

What have you all done this weekend? :)

Oh my... I hope it's 6-7 weeks and not "from now on "!! :(

I can't take this forever. She had one nap of 40 min at noon, and another one at 6pm! Then she was grumpy until bed, at 8pm. Woke up at 11:45, 2:20, 4:30, 6:20 for the day and still up. She's clingy and snack feeds all the time, instead of taking a full bottle. It also take ages to soothe her. She must be exhausted, yet she fights every nap.

Aw no Marta :( do you baby wear? Perhaps strapping her on will help :)

Mrsh2b, at least he was out enjoying himself. My OH had to pick his sister up last night and didn't come home/to bed until 1.40!

We had a lazy day yesterday as OH fell asleep on the settee.
  • I hate reading how rubbish your nights are, my lo is 4 months next week and I'm dreading having bad nights :(

    Hello ladies :)

Hope everyone is well - lovely sunny day here! LO and I have been out for a walk (I covered her in factor 50), and she's now having a nap. I'm having a coffee and a biscuit (or a few... :D), and then I'm going to make banana bread for her afternoon snack.

Sunshine, glad Aiden enjoyed the oat cakes! I made one the other day with a chopped up dried apricot instead of the raspberries and she loved that too :) Those plates and bowls with suction cups are fab btw - we have the Munchkin ones.

Someone mentioned flapjacks the other day - I've been googling sugar free options, and found these, which I like the look of, so planning to have a go on my next day off!

Went to Tesco this morning to get the blueberry wheats (and then didn't buy them); they had lots of children's clothes at half price. Don't know if it's a national thing or just my local store, but worth a look if you happen to be there anyway - I got a lovely little dress for £3 :)

Right, laundry and banana bread, here we come... :o

Hope everyone is having a good day x

ETA: Forgot to mention that the flapjack recipe has honey in it, so no good for those with younger babies unfortunately :(

Where do you baking ladies get your recipes from to make food suitable for lo? I've never really gotten into baking but would love to start now I have time on my hands. When I wean lo I don't want to have to use packet stuff I want to be able to make my own for him but don't know where to start :)

To be honest I often google whatever I'm looking for - if you add words like 'sugar free' or 'baby', stuff will magically appear! :) But sites that I often use (and not just for baking) include Annabel Karmel, The Gingerbread Mum, Babyled weaning, Homemade babyfood and Sainsbury's Little Ones. I also have (and love!) the Ella's cookbook, but I think that's better for slightly older children (1 year +) due to the recipes themselves as well as the stickers and suggestions for getting the kids involved and teaching them to love food :)
