*waves* Good to 'see' you Cake.

What about cereal? (we do bitesize shredded wheat, Ellas Round Ones, and the supermarkets own branded 'filled' shredded wheat minis, tescos blueberry are gorgeous) He just picks them up, and I soften them ever so slightly with milk, been doing this since around 6 months old.

French Toast, Pancakes, Toasted Muffins, Toast (with fruit puree, butter, cream cheese, peanut butter)

Tbh we usually do a rotation of porridge, cereal, weetabix (every 3 days not all 3 on the one day!) and repeat and once he's done with that he usually has a piece of fruit or a slice of toast.

What about making some flapjacks, obviously without the sugar, maybe try agave syrup. They keep really well too :)

Oh Gilly, I bought some of the Tesco filled wheat minis yesterday and she loves them so thank you! Think she was getting a bit fed up of porridge and toast on rotation so glad to have another option, although I got the cherry ones as with all things in this house if she didn't like it I'd be stuck with it for breakfast and I don't like blueberries :D

Im going shopping in a mo so will definitely try the filled wheat mini's. And crumpets. Cant remember what else was suggested so will read back and make a list :)

Made them porridge fingers again this morning but didn't make them solid enough this time. Blimey they're messy!

And tried them on satsumas. I had my camera at the ready hoping for some cute scrunched up faces but.... nothing :rotfl:Mollie loved them but Amelia wasn't that fussed

Forgot to say MrsB, the pics were great

Saffagal, I'm so jealous. I want a cake parcel :)

    Hello ladies,

Well it hasn't stopped raining here all day, how depressing! Hope your all having better weather than I am!!

Today I have helped oh sort his wardrobe.. Finally got rid of all the clothes that don't fit him... Only took me 3 years!!!!

Thinking I need to get myself to the drs again, my energy levels are on their bum, every day this week I've felt like I could fall asleep anywhere! It doesn't make sense, my baby sleeps a good 10-11hrs so I'm not getting up over night and he's only nearly 4 months so its not like I'm running after a child! He naps about 30-40 mins between feeds. I have a easy life!

But today I literally had to nap because I was soooo tired! So drs here I come next week!

Anything planned this weekend girls? My oh is out tomorrow I'm looking forward to a night with the lo, maybe early night for me :)
Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!

Hi ladies  (and to anyone else lurking)

After 4 nights of terrible sleep LO slept last night from 11-5 and only seemed to wake as he was full of sniffles and he started coughing a little. I can't believe he has a cold :( Anyway gave him some calpol as he was suffering a bit and he slept till 7.45, had a full bottle and then slept from 9-11.45! He doesn't seem too bad now and there is now one happy mummy after getting some sleep :)

Mrshaworth2b - Sometimes I'm the same...it doesn't matter if I've had a great sleep, I still need a nap even if it's for 5 minutes :D Hope it goes okay at the doctors though.

I keep LO entertained by putting him in his bouncy chair, putting him on his playmat or bouncing him on my knee, singing etc but he gets bored of me VERY quickly :( He likes the tv and watching the simpsons with his big brother so quality time spent there lol :rotfl: As long as he's happy.

I need some advice from you lovely lot. When did you put your LO in their own room? My OH wants to move LO in his room asap as it's darker in there (blackout curtains) and thinks that the light in our room is making him wake up really early. I don't disagree re the light (I've talked to him about getting some blinds to block out some of the light), but I don't want to move him just yet especially because of SIDS and as he has a cold he isn't getting moved yet anyway. We have a baby monitor so can keep listen out for him (the room's only next to ours!) but I'm still undecided.

Anyway hope everyone is okay....I'm off to have some cake! ;)

The recommended guidelines say 6 months for own room, but I know some babies outgrow moses baskets before then and it's understandable that not everyone can fit cots into there bedroom. I'd say it's when you feel comfortable, we didn't make the move until 14 months but I was quite confident in my decision and felt right to do it. So whenever you want to :o

    Very wise :D

We moved LO when she was 6 months. I was desperate to move her by then, as we kept waking each other up (and OH had decamped to the spare room 4 months earlier as he had to be awake for work), but held off due to the risk of SIDS. I'd get the blackout blinds and keep him where he is for another 3 months :o
  • Hi anibell, lil miss moved out 3 weeks ago so just after she was 6 months. I was sure we were waking each other up so held off to 6 months and then went for it and once these pesky teeth have made an appearance I'll find out whether she's sleeping any better in her own room although I'm definately getting better quality sleep even if it is in very short bursts.

The outgrowing the moses basket thing, I either have a huge Moses or a diddy baby as she still fits in it now at almost 7 months. Do they come in different sizes or is Shay a proper shorty? ;)

Thankyou for saying lovely things about the pics peeps, I'm really pleased with them!

Still having problems with bottles here. We're going to try again later & see if there's any progress but I'm thinking we might need to try a different type of bottle. We've had some recommendations of mam & nuk. I'm sure there were some in tkmaxx so might pop & see what they were, he likes mam dummies so might be worth having a try with their bottles I suppose.

anibell, George was born 11th feb & is still in with us. As much as its a nightmare having no room to walk around the cot & having to mountaineer out of bed I don't think he'll be going into his own room until at least 6mths. Partly because of guidance & partly because we like having him close, especially when he's waking to feed at 4am! Have you thought about getting a gro-blind? That way it's not a permanent fixture in your room & you could use it if you ever go away anywhere :)

We have a white mark on George's gum at the moment & the dentist had a nosey when I was there for me the other day & said its a tooth although it could be a few months before it actually comes through. I might explain his bottle strike & his interesting poos though!

Here's a couple of pics of the little fella, I can't believe how much he's grown...
