The outgrowing the moses basket thing, I either have a huge Moses or a diddy baby as she still fits in it now at almost 7 months. Do they come in different sizes or is Shay a proper shorty? ;)

They come in different sizes :D the carrycot for my pram is one of the largest on the market I believe and would still have fitted A at 12 months I think  My A is teeny tiny though but good things come in small packages ;)

I know for some people they sit up before they grow out of it size wise so that's why they have to be moved. Believe it or not sleep for us got better over night when we moved him into the cot bed with the sprung mattress :o

We got black out blinds - the pop up type and they work really well. LO is 6 months now but grew out of her moses basket after 11 weeks!

DDB - I think some are bigger than others, Mamas and Papas are small I think! Though I do have a large baby!

MrsAshworth - Definitely get to the doctors, could be low iron or something, I was ridiculously lethargic when I was anaemic.

I'm not anaemic, but Floradix is my best friend. I struggle to function without it :o

I'm going to yoga tomorrow for the first time since LO was born :j Am ridiculously excited - I went every week for years, twice a week to pregnancy yoga, but haven't prioritised it recently and am sooooo looking forward to starting again :D

Having an early night - am knackered after a terrible night last night and two full days of security refresher training. It's a requirement for my job and interesting stuff, but very involved - since Thursday morning I've 'survived' a car jacking, a snakebite, multiple wounds, gunshots, severe bleeding and a fracture in my leg. And been reminded of what to do if you're kidnapped or someone throws a grenade in your direction. Hard work after only 3 hours sleep!

Hope everyone has a good night x

Your baby is super cute, mrsb!!!

Can I have that recipe for porridge with frozen fruit?
I gave her today some baby porridge and she loved it. I have MAM 's first cuttlery and i just dipped the spoon in it and gave it to her, she sucked on it as if it were something great lol

She had a terrible night, waking up every 90 min!! She seems better today, no fever.

At the end I'm only working two hours on a Thursday, which on one hand sucks financially, but on the other hand is great because I don't have to be away from her.

My DH's workmate non-mate keeps telling him how his 4mo sleeps 13h during the night without feeds, is that even possible or is it bs?

Ps. I recorded lots of programs for exercise, sky tv has a fitness channel that even has the 30 day shred, Pilates and yoga. Now I need to find the motivation to do it!!!

    13/12/2012, baby girl!!!
  • Have just spent the last hour scrubbing my cream carpet as left my oh to deal with Shay's dinner whilst I had a soak in the bath & he decided bringing her chair into the living room and letting her eat her spag bol in their was a good idea so he could watch the tennis :(

Very possible, some babies will come out of hospital sleeping 6-7 hours over night, others won't sleep through until there 3, they're all so different :o

For frozen fruit porridge I either bung a handful of frozen fruit in the bottom of the bowl, chuck in the porridge and milk and microwave, or if it's just normal berries unfrozen I chuck them in once porridge is cooked :D apologies if that's not what you meant x

Mine sleeps 11 hrs no feed. I give him a bigger feed before he goes sleep and it seems to keep him going. But he's ready for his bottle as soon as he opens his eyes!

I need some advice from you lovely lot. When did you put your LO in their own room? My OH wants to move LO in his room asap as it's darker in there (blackout curtains) and thinks that the light in our room is making him wake up really early. I don't disagree re the light (I've talked to him about getting some blinds to block out some of the light), but I don't want to move him just yet especially because of SIDS and as he has a cold he isn't getting moved yet anyway. We have a baby monitor so can keep listen out for him (the room's only next to ours!) but I'm still undecided.

Anyway hope everyone is okay....I'm off to have some cake! ;)

We put the girls in their own room at 17 weeks. We were disturbing them as much as they were disturbing us. Plus OH was sleeping in the spare room most nights as he works shifts and needed his sleep. We co-slept for most of that time though. They were only in their own cot for a week or 2 before we moved them. Was so much better for us all once they were in their own room

I miss the days of co-sleeping :( they used to sleep sooooo well and I would get at least 8 hours sleep every night, after reading my kindle for a couple hours. Ahhhh memories :rotfl:
