Saffagal, I echo delain. A babygrow with poppers down the front will be fine. LO had to have a hip scan a few weeks ago as he was breech in the womb until about 35 weeks. All they did at the scan was just take his legs and hips out of the babygrow, lay him on his side (in something similar to weighing scales with padding), scan his hip with the gel and then repeated it for the other side.
I was asked to help hold his arms in place at his side and he could see me so all was fine. It helped that he had just woken from a nap as he's a wriggler lol. It lasted less than 5 minutes.SPC 9 # 5360 -

Where are you all? Lol
My lo has been waking up screaming every night about an hour or so after falling asleep and with the dummy still in her mouth, so I don't know why.she cries. I wonder if it can be the tooth that is coming through or any other I cannot see yet. I gave her nurofen last night and that seemed to work, as she only woke up as usual around 3am and 6am. What are your thoughts on giving nurofen just in case before going to bed and only until that tooth cuts through completely? Can that be done? Or is it insane / unhealthy?Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Morning quiet ladies,

My cars having a mot today so please wish me luckNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
Hi Marta I wouldnt give pain meds just incase, I'd only give them if you know they're needed. They can be harsh on the tummy so better to keep them for occasional use. XThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Morning all
It's been soooo quiet here over the past few days! Hope everyone is well.
Marta, I'd agree with Gilly - even in the midst of the ear infection pain, I didn't give my LO Nurofen until she woke up screaming (as opposed to when she went to bed). I know that might sound harsh, but I didn't want it to become a habit and something she 'needed' in order to fall asleep if that makes sense?...
Mrshaworth2b, good luck with the MOT!
Not a good night here - awake and unsettled from midnight until 2.30I think it's because she only had one 45-minute nap yesterday (nursery day); we always find that she struggles to sleep at night if she hasn't slept enough during the day. Fingers crossed tonight is better - she's having a nap right now and has been sleeping for an hour and a half.
She's figured out how to open the kitchen drawers - this morning we had 2/3 of a bag of pasta all over the floor. I think it's because the bag was closed with a peg. She loves pegs
Have a good day ladies x0 -
Morning ladies, sorry I've not been on much - were away at mum's for my birthday and I'm snowed under with work at the moment.
Oh dear Nutella, hope she loses interest in the kitchen cupboards soon! G isn't allowed in our kitchen, we have a stair gate across the door.
I'm with Nutella and Gilly, Marta, we save the painkillers til he's actually yelling - having said that he is usually so happy and cheerful that if he is yelling I don't generally hang around. He woke up at 4am at my mum's (on my birthday morning!) absolutely bellowing so calpoled him straight away as it was so out of character. Only spotted yesterday that he's got another tooth, so must have been that that woke him.
Fingers crossed for the mot Mrsh2b!Newborn thread member

Absolute mummy brain! My mot is tomorrow! Haha!
Got my cousin and her two coming over after school to see my lo, that will be nice!
My lo has found his mouth, constantly has his fingers in there. I've noticed on one side he's got a tooth coming uphope it doesn't hurt him too much

We're contemplating that - so far, we've been fine with locks on the cupboards that contain things like cleaning products, spices and cooking oil (leaving her to explore plastic tubs, unopened bags of pasta etc.), but now that she's able to open drawers we might need to get stair gates. She's currently shaking a bag of pine nuts! We'd need two gates (in addition to the two we already have at the top and bottom of the stairs...), but worth it I think. Cooking is getting increasingly tricky, and using the oven whilst she's awake is not an option
Happy belated birthday! :j Hope your mum is doing OK now.0
