Good night here, he only woke up at 2 and I moved him over the other side of the crib to make sure he didn't get arms and legs out.

First night out as a couple tonight! Off to a 30th, mil is putting lo to bed after I've given a bottle! I hope she's ready for all the texts to tell me whether lo is ok lol! Forgot to do my fake tan last night so here's hoping I can do it today and still be brown tonight :)

    Morning ladies :)

Saf, hope you got some sleep in the end.

Mrshaworth2b, enjoy your night out - we still haven't been out as a couple since LO was born!

Currently on a bus (90% of my posts on here are written on public transport...) - doing a course on first aid for babies and children today. Been meaning to do it for ages, and finally got round to booking it. I'm expecting all sorts of minor injuries over the coming months and years, so want to make sure I know how to deal with them :o

Marta, I'll measure the window later on, thanks for your reply (and Gilly too!). Does the easyblind let air through? Love the name - sounds like a new venture from Stelios et al! :rotfl:

Have a good day all x

Nutella, it sticks to the windows glass, so if you open the window it moves with it. I'd cut it extra big then, so there are no big gaps. I don't think it's breathable, but not sure if any black out is, though. I'll take a pic later wheh DH gets up.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Oh dear Saf, posting at 1.30 is never a good sign! T also decided to party last night waking every couple of hours. Kicking myself as I think he wasn't really crying at 1.40, so could have left him to settle and he'd have maybe drifted back off, instead I got up and fed him (in my sleepy state I did think the clock was 4ish... clearly forgot to read the 1 at the front!?!?), and was up again at 4 anyway. He did settle back quickly each time and then up for the day with a nice morning poop at 6.

Nutella, I definately think the early mornings don't help. If he's up after 4.30 he really struggles do go down again as you can see he's thinking, well, it's light, I'm up.... it's day, so lets play! No help on groblind, or blackout though, I'll be reading with interest as also like to have fresh air from window coming in.

Anyone doing anything special for Father's Day?
Luckily we've a garden party to go to tomorrow, so lets me off the hook of doing anything special. This is the 1st time I've thought, oooh a nice meal out would be good. I think that's a while away, especially as T is EBF and I'm reluctant to express to a bottle just so we can pop out for an evening meal.
Hopefully eventually we'll get more of a pattern to daytime, so we can maybe manage a meal at lunch one day without T screaming for a feed. He a hungry monkey, I think he likes the smell of food too. Licks his lips and messes his tongue when we're cooking dinner, even if he's just been fed!

    Enjoy your day everyone.x

if it makes feel anyone better our nights have been pants for a while too, nd today shes mega grumpy. Shes got a really bad dribble rash that is extending and obv is itchy, il ask the chemist for something as the two creams i was given by the gp havent help at all.

mrs, when my lo was crying all the time and the hv would refer as her as naughty or that she was like that cos i was depressed(pnd) here and it wasnt the case cos i was taking pills anyway they always try to fob you off, tell them you have done enough and now want to see a peadritician...

This is DH's first fathers day so A has bought him a pint glass with Daddy Est 2013 and her name on it. Also got him a mug with photos of the three of us and a little msg. We've decorating planned in the morning, then going to my in-laws for dinner so DH will get a special dinner. He's still making dinner most evenings - a new role he has taken on since A was born. Secretly I think he finds it relaxing as on the few occasions I have done dinner, DH has still come to help.

A did settle around 2, until 4:30 so not all bad as she went back down till half 7 after.

DH couldn't believe how calm she stayed when I put her in her car seat to pop out for more undercoat this afternoon... All previous trips with DH she has screamed on going in the car seat.

Hope you've all had good days today

Nope :D (depending on what he did for Mothers day? )

A large part of me knows it's just a commercial day for card companies etc to make more cash, but then I'm a sucker too for these things. Pah advertising companies dream I am. x

It was really good, I'd definitely recommend it :) I did the British Red Cross 'First aid for baby and child' course (details here) - they do them as one-day courses (9am-3pm) or over two evenings. It covers what I'd classify as 'traditional' first aid (like CPR and recovery position), as well as things like high temperature, choking, burns, vomitting and diarrhoea, swallowing harmful substances and allergic reactions.

They've just launched a new baby and child first aid app by the way - I haven't downloaded it yet, but it's free and they've had good feedback on it.
