DH and I have made a deal, no bought presents, but things we can make / do with her or things for each other that are free. He gave me a lay in and did the housework / dinner on mother's day; I made him a card with lo's prints and I'm cooking his favourite meal.Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Hope everyone had a good Father's Day, whatever you did.
We went to the Trafford centre but it was too busy so only stayed an hr and went to oh parents for tea. Lo was on best behaviour
My stomach has been playing up on and off for the last few weeks, I've been getting cramps no matter what I eat, and just generally feel rubbish. I'm hoping its just my body getting back to normal (although its been 3 months) and nothing major. My whole digestive system has been on its bum ever since the birth! Has anyone else had this?Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -

YesAnd I think it's fairly normal. In my antenatal classes they showed us a picture of what your organs look like when you're heavily pregnant, and as you'd expect they're completely squashed. I suppose it just takes them a while to organise themselves again once you've given birth.... My digestive system was dodgy for weeks and months after the birth, and I also had (TMI alert!) really bad wind for several months. It all seems to have calmed down now though, so here's hoping things improve for you soon.
How was your night out by the way?0 -
It's more cramps sorry tmi but looking at Google everything is about bowel movements with cramps ( which I don't haven't ) so I'm just going with its all about giving birth and the repercussions. Gr! Starting to think this was bad for my health lol!
Night out was good, my oh spent most of the night talking with his friends so I spoke to one of the gfs! Another one who last time she saw me said how big I was and how had the midwife not said anything (when in actual fact everyone commented on how neat my bump was) came to me and said I looked amazing!
If she hasn't of offended me the first time I met her I would have been flattered! She's def one ill be staying away from!
I text oh mum a couple of times and she said he was fine, oh dad said she had come up to check him every 15mins! So I feel a lot more confident leaving him in her capable handsNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
Mrsharworth, at 5 months after birth I had strong cramps all the time, no bleeding other than during my period, which was heavier than before. I was worried, so I went to the GP, who referred me to do an ultrasound, swabs, bloods and internal examination. Everything was fine, just my body going back to normal in a loud way. The cramps stopped a few weeks after that, my period went back to normal and even my ovulation cycle improved as I usually ovulated on the 17th day and currenly I'm on the average 14th. I told them I wanted to TTC again and they did every test available.Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Morning all
Hope everyone had a good night. My LO woke up at 4am, but prior to that we'd had a good night. She's sleeping a lot better these days - here's hoping she can keep it up!
Mrshaworth2b, my cramps would sometimes be so bad I'd have to stop whatever I was doing and just try tro breathe through it (a bit like coping with contractions...). They did eventually stop completely though - although as always, if you're worried I'd go and see a doctor, if only to put your mind at rest.
Have a good day ladies x0 -
Morning ladies and babies
My little lady is having a "special" day today! Well she had a bad night too - slept from 10 till 2:15 (which I can't really complain about to be fair), then fed and wouldn't settle until gone 4. Not sure what is up with her really - she's really clingy today and was in a right grumpy mood this morning. She did give me some smiles this afternoon (whilst I was pulling faces at her whilst she was on her playmat) but that lasted all of five minutes. What's the bed she'll be grinning at her dad when he gets in from work?! Little monkey!
Oh well... I'm sure it will pass! And the smiles do help
At least yesterday when we were round the in-laws she was pleasant and smiley and gave smiley cuddles to all but her Grandma. I'm taking her to visit Grandma at lunchtime on Thurs after an appt so hopefully she won't cry when Grandma holds her then.
Actually ladies, LO has to have a hip scan on Thursday (apparently routine for babies heavier than 4kg at birth and she was just over). Any ideas on what they do? Best thing to dress her in?
Hope that you've all had a good day today
