I'm more of a lurker than a poster but those looking for first aid training - Millie's Trust organise affordable first aid training, it's £20 donation per person and free if you have a child under 1 (although most people on my course paid £20 regardless of age)
Here is a link to their facebook page. Take a minute to read the heartbreaking story of Dan & Joanne Thompson who lost their daughter Millie Thompson when she was 9 months old.

i put myself together and took the girls to a party, we had a nice time we old friends.... saw a girl i know with her 6wk old baby giving me advice (her first child) and she bf's... babies learn quickly and "e" sleeps" alone, she self soothes when she wakes up because we put her to sleep, she cries, we pat her and leave her, she talks to herself and goes back to sleep... ohh well... my baby is cuter lolMejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0

Hey hey
I have my WiFi back hooray :j that's why I've been absent because virgin suspended it
Nutella I spend huge amounts of time on buses too but with between 2 and 5 kids I never have time to read never mind post!
Had a bit of an incident the other day where the buggy fell over on the bus with both Lo's in it and I was pulled over trying to stop it because the bus driver pulled out way too hard and too fast. Luckily no one was hurt really just minor bumps. I wasn't impressed thoughwasn't one of the drivers I knew (we have got a couple like it) so I didn't know in advance to jam the buggy in behind a pole.
Hope everyone has a good fathers day, the weather spell has broken here, been wet and windy.
Went to Morrisons today and was pleasantly surprised by their kids clothing as squeak has shot up and outgrown everything... She loves bright colours and they had a lot of bright things, so she certainly won't get lost in the crowd :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

NoThe only reason we have a card is that they made them at the nursery. So I was handed a card with photos of LO and her handprints, and all I have to do is pass it on to her dad. I made a huge effort last year (and LO was 3 weeks old, so I was knackered) and he didn't really seem bothered, so I'm making zero effort this year
(Besides, he upset you on mother's day, didn't he?...)0 -
Delain, you should start a blog. The way you describe the trials and tribulations of everyday life always makes me laugh :rotfl:0

I got my OH a DVD and made him loads of shortbread
(3 diff varieties) with my epic recipe. I am sat munching it now though, which is a bit of a fail. Oopsies.

I've learnt that a lot of people bend the truth to make sure people don't think they're having a hard time, I'd say take half of that and make it opposite! Then you have more nea the truth! No baby is perfect, or parent, or they are..... For a few weeks and then routine changes! Lol... I always say... But my lo is cuter!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
Nutella thanks for the link to that first aid app. Just downloaded it and had a little play. It looks really good and is well laid out and easy to navigate around.
DH is getting a gift this fathers day as last fathers day I was recovering from our 2nd mc so want a nicer association, and A is a very precious gift. I'm also guilt tripping him over not even acknowledging mother's day for me in May... He says its in March, but to me (and my mom etc) its always in May. The rest of my family wished me. DH didn't.0 -
Happy father's day to any dads lurking on this thread (I'm sure there must be some...) + everyone's OHs0
