Where are you all today?....
Just checked in and thought the same.
We're going to see about getting weighed today. Depending how the timing of Ted's feed time goes. There is a 2 hr time window, so hopefully we can make it!
Did any of you get lo weighed between 2wk and 6wk hv check up? Hv didn't request it, but everyone asks his weight and at just over 1month now I feel bad saying... Well 3 weeks ago he was 9lb7oz.
I'm sure he's growing well. He's feeding welk. Just an excuse for a trip out really!0 -
Hi lazywife
I think I got my LO weighed every 3-4 weeks in the beginning, but my local baby clinic is so awful I'd delay going whenever I could! If he's feeding well, has plenty of wet nappies and otherwise seems happy in himself, then you've got no reason to worry, but if you fancy going - why not?
Edited to add: you shouldn't have to worry about feeding though - at my baby clinic most people end up feeding their babies at some point thanks to hour-long waits! I can't imagine anyone would bat an eyelid if you fed him there.
LO's been napping for almost 3 hours (here's hoping she's sleeping off her ear infection) - once she wakes up we're having lunch and then off to Clarks to find out if she needs her second pair of shoes. Need to do a bit of food shopping, and also want to check out the M&S sale as she needs a couple of t-shirts. Planning to do a stop-over in the park on our way home - it's a lovely day here, so thought she could have her afternoon snack there and play on the swings for a bit. Have to make the most of my day off!0 -
It is pretty sunny which is nice, I'm tempted to walk up to physio but it depends what time Daddy gets home from work! I'm not sure what the physio would think to me carry George up there either. I might get into trouble!
I can't remember when we had George weighed between checks. We had him done on Monday though, he's 16wks & weighs 15lb 4oz0 -
Hello ladies!!!!! So sorry I haven't been around. Been back at work full time since the 28th May and have been exhausted ever since!!!
Thank you for the birthday wishes, OH and I were at work and Reuben at nursery, so we didn't do much. He had a little cake with candle, but he did not like chocolate cake, as evidenced by these photos....
It's very serious business turning 1 you know!!!
No Mummy I DO NOT LIKE CAKE!0 -

Right, I did read back, but I've just read from page 138 or something silly like that so I can't actually remember anything apart from fluff having a birthday (happy birthday!), and nutella wanting a carrier.
nutella try them out if at all possible. I had my heart set on a wompat (£135!). I tried carmilla's Ergo - didn't like it. I tried a R&R - didn't like it. I tried a BB tei - didn't like it. I tried a Bondolino and fell in love. Reu loves it too, he goes over to it and pats it when he wants to go up. I find it so easy to use, so secure, it is so comfortabel on - it just feels like it was made for us.
Now I would probably have never tried one, but the sling library lady was a bit pushy and was like try this, now try this, now try this etc....and I'm sooooo glad she did as she helped me find the perfect carrier. It only cost me £66 delivered (compared to the £135 + post) which is a lot cheaper than the one that I thought I wanted in the first place.0 -

Freddie's the cutest babe in the world (obv) but that Reuben comes a very close second...
When I looked out the window this morning, I idly wondered why my garden was full of newspaper. I now know why. Freddie rips it to shreds and then 'posts' it through the catflap."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
