Happy birthday George :) I hope you have a lovely day!

We've had a pretty s****y half hour after a good nights sleep & a lovely start to Sunday morning. Breakfast in bed with Daddy, followed by a shower & then Daddy left for work so we snuggled on the sofa for a bit. Then it all kicked off & George screamed. And screamed. And screamed. It sounded like he was in so much pain, nothing I could do to calm him. I walked, rocked, fed (which worked whilst he fed for 2 mins), changed, sung, gripe watered, put him down, rubbed his belly, different dummy, everything I could think of. He swallowed so much air he's burped a few times & has been a little bit sick. He's currently asleep on the changing mat, with his favourite (I love mummy) dummy with me laid on the living room floor next to him. I get the feeling it's going to be a tough day today :(

He was diagnosed with reflux last week & the gaviscon has helped. We only really use one dose a day as we know when he struggles most with reflux. Gripe water also helps him too. I have heard though that gaviscon can cause constipation so I wonder if it that. His poos have been more sticky & bitty than normal, he struggles if he's not pooed once a day & it's been 2 since he last pooed so I'm really hoping for a poonami at some point soon!

Sorry for putting a downed on things :( I just needed to come on & let it out somewhere, I knew you'd all understand & maybe even have some possible insight! :)

    Happy Birthday George!

Mrs B, poor mite, hope the poonami happens soon :(

I've not been on for a few days. Had awful nights with the girls, especially Friday night. I was up almost every half hour with one of them, maybe an hour if I was lucky. It started after I went to bed at 8.30 cos I was so exhausted from the previous night and I was woken at 9.15  That went on ALL night

Then last night I got a shock. They went to bed at 8 and Mollie woke up at 6  That's never ever happened before :T. Amelia did wake at 3 but then she also slept til 6 so I am a very happy mummy today!

They've out with their Uncle for the afternoon. He's taking them to Yorkshire Wildlife park with his girlfriend, so I really shouldn't be on here. I've so much housework to catch up on it unreal!

I also received an email last week offering some free photo prints so need to get that sorted too if I have time

Bamama I know what you mean about getting babies to self-settle. Mine will only fall asleep if they are on the boob or bottle. I was worrying about it especially when people are here, I always feel they are judging me, but then I thought well if it works whats the harm? We'll change it one day, unless we are still having to do it when they are 3 :rotfl: then I will definitely worry!

Evening ladies, thankyou for all the birthday wishes! He's had a lovely day - lots of presents and a play at the park (he had atleast 75 goes on the slide). Looks like he's coming down with a cold though, bit of a grump this evening - wouldn't even eat his birthday cupcake! I helped out, it was a tough job ;)

What has everyone got planned for tomorrow? I *should* have my work finished so will have a free day :T so depending on whether or not the small person does come down with a cold properly or not, and if OH feels better we may go over to the in-law's for dinner. Or if not just a wander to town and back.

Note: If anyone is planning on getting their LO the Vtech Toot Toot garage I would highly recommend getting earplugs too. That has gone straight in at number 1 on the toy with the most annoying song list!

I always feel judged. No more so than today. We had a massive barney and I didn't realise how bad things were...

    OH doesn't like:
    Living here.
The fact that I don't sort out the boobie juice bottles for him.
    That I baby wear.
That I don't like him taking Dewi on his own.
That I don't go and see his mother in the week.

He thinks his mother doesn't see Dewi enough, even though we're there practically every weekend.
He thinks smacking is a good idea which I totally hate.

    He's also started smoking again.

I started having a go about all the things he does that annoy me.

I ended up in a crying heap and still feel like nothing has been resolved.

Never thought that things would be like this.

Oh sweetie. The one in bold is the only one I think is important and worthy of discussion - the rest sound like just the stuff we say when we're a bit frustrated and trying to prove a point.

How were things before Dewi came along? The first year after having a baby tests even the strongest relationship.

Out of interest, do you feel uncomfortable when he takes Dewi out on his own?

Yes. Very. I worry about him and am on my own the whole time. He keeps suggesting taking him to his mother's and leaving him there while he goes to watch football. Meaning the three people in our family will be without each other.

We were only together a year before concieving Dewi. Still in that honeymoon phase really. We made the choice to come off the pill but I don't think it was very wise. I'd never trade Dewi for anything don't get me wrong. I'm so glad he's ours but... I doubt we'd have made it this far without him.

I don't know why I don't want to let Dewi go far. He's just so small. He was taken away from me so quickly. I don't want him to go again.

Maybe I do need some councilling.
