My LO used to do the same she would need a nap as soon as she'd been up for 2 hours, then she'd sleep about 1-2 hours, up for 2 then down again, up for 2 then down. It took me ages to work this out, but it worked a treat.
The last nap was 3.30-5.30pm and still is actually even though we've cut to 2 naps a day now. She then goes to bed at 7.30pm. We give her a bottle and dinner at 6.00-6.30, then we give her 30 minutes to digest her food. 7.00 upstairs for a play in the bath, brush her teeth, nappy on, sleeping bag in bed. A little story and off she goes, she'll happily lay in bed sucking her thumb and off she goes. I didn't like her sucking her thumb, but its been a God send really as she has self soothed from a really young age. Not sure how we are going to cope when she is older and won't give it up, but we'll see what happens.
Last shift in work tonight and we're off to Harry Potter Studios tomorrow, can't wait!!!! Plus 5 days off work! :jGot married 13/11/10

I've been worried about us putting little one down too late but she only does one good sleep then wakes up every two hours, so we've brought bath time forward to around 9pm, bottle at 9.30, sleep at 10. She's starting to go six hours so I go to bed around 11 and she goes until 4ish feed then up. I'm sure 9pm is too late as per the books but it works for us and she is happy.
I wish she sucked her thumb instead of having a dummy! I sometimes get woken up just to give her her dummy back but it's ok if it's just a minute or two.
Hoping this sleep regression is regressing(!) but I won't speak too soon!0 -

I'm up at least twice a night just to put the dummy back in her mouth, but I'd rather have that than thumb-sucking. A dummy can be taken away when you want them to stop using it - if she were sucking her thumb, I'd worry about how I'd get her to stop...0 -

When you take the dummy away she might just pop her thumb in instead"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

How the heck do you get a baby to fall asleep on their own? Dewi will only go down for the night by falling asleep on the boob.0

Thansk for the tip I'll have to look into it, never thought about coconut milk before. I did think about formula, but I'm a bit reluctant as it feels like a step backward :undecided
It's heartbreaking when I express all day and she leaves a couple of ounces in the bottle. I know in the grand scheme its not a lot, but it takes me ages to get 2oz now. I used to pump so much I donated my freezer stash to a mum who couldn't keep up with her LO as she couldn't take dairy, then my supply started to dry up, typical!!
Haha, tell me about it. I went back to work at 10 months and expressed for 3 months till she went onto coconut milk during the day. I used to hate getting the bottles back with milk in them......and I once let 7 oz go off when I got mixed up over a long weekend. I had to get DH to pour it out, broke my heart
I noticed a decrease in the amount I was able to pump towards the end, it's such a faff isn't it. Worth it, but a faff nonetheless...0 -

Evening ladies
OH's birthday tomorrow - LO 'made' a card at the nursery; it's got her handprint at the front, several photos of her and some very cute finger painting!
Speaking of birthdays, I bought wrapping paper and balloons today, so we're all set for her big day next Saturday - or at least we will be if the remaining couple of presents arrive from Amazon in time...
Went for a pedicure in my lunch break today, which means I can wear sandals all weekend! :T
Having an early night - am knackered!
Good night all x0
