Hello, my lo had perfect responses in both ears so I am so happy!! Think I was more worked up with worrying than anything I hate hospitals so that made me worse! He woke up just as we got there but I managed to get him back to sleep, only took 20 mins for the test!! :) very very happy

Just checked the 'Reasons my son is crying' blog - it's been updated to include more hilarious stuff, including 'He was thirsty. I shared my juice with him'. And 'It's morning'. Now that often makes me want to cry too :rotfl:

Nutella, I love that blog! It makes me howl with laughter sometimes :)

Mrshaworth2b, I think you have to be added to the group by someone. If turtlemoose doesn't then I can have a go :)

    Hi :)

Been having a manic few days here so havent posted much. Aidens been really off his food since the back teeth have started. He has been waking up in the night hungry, so stupidly, I have been giving him milk. Trouble is, now he is back on his food - he is still waking up wanting the milk as he is used to it.

Im a bit lost what to do really, he hasnt had night feeds since he was about 3 months old! I tried not giving it him last night and he tantrummed for an hour and a half then I gave in as it was 5am and I needed sleep before work.

Not sure how to tackle him, tried water but he pushed it away. Will see what tonight brings, but it seems like he cant settle off without milk :( xxx

I do love it :D I'd prefer it without photos though - I feel sorry for that poor child sometimes :o

Poor little thing (and poor mum too!) :( You might have to wean him off it again the way you did it the first time round (unless you were one of the lucky ones and he just started sleeping through!). We weaned LO off her night feeds over a period of a couple of weeks (reducing it by 30ml every couple of days until she stopped bothering), but I know some people go cold turkey and have a few hellish nights, but then that's it. Or you could set a time, like 5am, and if it's after that time you'll give him milk? If you stick to your guns this weekend (when you can nap during the day), he might have stopped asking come Monday?...

We're still struggling with sleep here - she wakes up at some point between 1am and 3am and just stays wide awake for up to two hours, just refusing to sleep! Not sure what to do about it, but I'm trying sleep training now, and this time I'm doing it properly no matter how knackered I get. Am hoping it's a case of short term pain for long term gain - at least that thought is the only thing that keeps me going when I'm sat on her floor at 2am trying to 'encourage' her back to sleep.. :o

Thanks Gilly :) Really hope it works - I could handle broken sleep when I was on maternity leave and could nap during the day, but working full time and functioning on 4-5 hours of sleep per night is starting to take its toll. I'm knackered :(

    Evening ladies :)

Have only read backa few posts I'm afraid - totally shattered after our day out today. Hope you get sorted out with the nights and sleep training sunshine and nutella. I'm all for cold turkey and a couple of hellish nights - I tried softer approaches and it just didn't work for us. Having said that though, I wasn't working when we did it. But it did only take 2 bad nights.

My mil is staying at the mo, today we went down to the coast and had a walk along - G in the backpack mainly but he walked the last little bit. Then to Ikea for meatballs. We got G a kiddy meal - first time he's had his own actual meal rather than a bit of ours or a pack up - and he absolutely demolished it! And he loved toddling round the showroom section, waving his arms around and giggling like a loon. Totally adorable, even if I am biased :o

Nutella - I don't know how you cope with harfly any sleep......you must be super woman! I'm ready to commit murder if I don't get at least 8 hours sleep a night!

It's my DS's 7th birthday tomorrow so currently blowing up balloons and hanging up banners! Might leave DP to get on with it so I can jump in the shower.
