  • We have the hv coming today and weighing him so will see if I need to be waking him if he's not gaining. He's still going a good 5 hours over night with no feed so we will see.

Also have lo hearing test tomorrow at the hospital, im praying there is nothing wrong with his ear :( also bit nervous it says on the letter that he should be asleep, but sometimes after a feed it takes me a while to settle him if it doesn't knock him out so hoping that he does sleep!

Thanks for asking, the jabs were at first ok, then twenty minutes later she was crying for ages. I gave her calpol and that seemed to calm her down a bit but she was extremely clingy and would start crying the moment I was a feet away, so I had to carry her or take the bouncer with me everywhere. She seems better today, she was jumping on the jumperoo before.

Any book on baby led weaning that you could recommend? I think I'll try that when the time comes. When did you start using a high chair?

On periods and tmi, mine had been awful since. Very heavy and painful. I hope they normalize soon.

On migraines, ask your doctor about sumatriptan, it works wonders on mine. It's not a pain killer, it regulates the chemicals that induce the migraine, so it has to be a migraine, not a big headache.

I wanted to ask, I don't know if I should go to the doctors or if it's normal. I still feel my tummy swollen internally, with mild pains similar to period pains, but all the time. Is it just my body still healing inside?

  • Hi ladies hope you're all well and Sammie I hope your lil man is feeling heaps better x

Glad the jabs haven't had a lasting effect marta, we've got 3 huge bruises here from ours yesterday but it doesn't seem to bother her at all except she was awake from 3-5am singing and laughing away like a nutter so I'm hoping it was the jabs and it doesn't happen to often!

we've just been high chair shopping and it was a case of sitting her in all those mothercare had and buying the one she looked cutest in, probably should have read reviews etc but I'm rubbish on things like that!

I prefer the look of the booster chairs and the fold up fabric ones will be more practical for us (can't fit a full high chair in our kitchen).

Is there anything wrong with using this instead http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=310566331908&index=11&nav=SEARCH&nid=02416086744 as a permanent thing?

My LO slept in the car on the way to the hospital and I fed her in the car before going in. She fell asleep in the sling until just before we were called in and screamed her head off pretty much the whole time they were doing the test which took ages because she kept dislodging the ear piece. She then fell asleep again before I left the building and slept for the whole of a twenty mile car journey. But they were still able to do the test and they were fine about it as they understand that babies don't always do what you plan on them doing. It's not that they *have* to be asleep for them to be able to do it - it's more that it's easier if they're asleep because then they stay still.

We have one of those and it isn't great on all chairs as a lot of chairs the back isn't really high enough. I don't mind when we're out and about as LO will usually be right next to me/OH but at home we wouldn't be continuously next to her so I would recommend making sure that it will fit properly on your chairs. Also, I don't think it's quite so good for cleaning - we found ours had gone a little mouldy at the bottom front when we got it out recently from storing it. I haven't used it myself but lots of people seem to recommend the ikea antilop which looks not to be too big and I've noticed ikea also do a folding highchair which looks fairly compact.
