    Hello :hello:

Hope you're all ok and getting plenty of sleep :D

  • Morning all, hope you're all well!

Sleep was a little short last night here for me at least lil miss slept fantastically haha. She normally has a 30/45 minute nap at 6pm then settles for the night at 10pm however she fell asleep at 6:05 and despite me changing her nappy, putting her Pjs on and feeding her she didn't wake up at all till 3:57am and that's when our morning started :o it wouldn't be too bad but i sat up till almost midnight watching the news from Boston - fingers crossed she has a nap today!

Cake - nobody mentioned chocolate as a trigger to me :( I can't even have a hot chocolate without her throwing up so I guess I'll have to leave my trusty old friend until she's no longer breastfeeding - it'll help shift the extra pounds I guess!

Good god I'm glad no one ever told me chocolate was a no go for bfing babas! Didn't seem to affect G - and the amount of chocolate I ate when I was feeding him...lets just say if it had been a sicky trigger I'd have been covered in puke for 11 months or so!

Cake try not to worry about teething too much, like the others said; sometimes you get lucky. We've got 6 teeth here so far and haven't had too much trouble. Yet :o

I'm off to get the monster weighed today as got a few q's for the Hv. Such as is 3 weetabix and a banana a normal/healthy portion size for a baby's breakfast?! Also hoping to get a last minute appointment for a haircut too.

    Morning,

Noah has been up all night screaming And I can't get any fluids into him, I have a doctors appointment at 11am for him so hoping they can help :( the not having fluids is what is worrying me as I don't want him to become dehydrated.

Katiechoc - hope you manage to get a haircut :D

I'm so fed up of everyone going on about me "having a break". I don't wanna leave my baby and why should I? Why is everyone so eager to have him? My OH is always on about his mother having him overnight... that ain't happening any time soon! My own mother said she'd have him after he took a bottle this week. When I told her not yet she "joked" that I won't let him go until he's in school... I just messages back that maybe I won't even then.

Not to sound like I have a problem with those who have said they're happy to leave LO but... I didn't have a baby to palm him off on someone else.

(I don't even like OH taking him downstairs for me to try and get more sleep. I lay there waiting for the time to pass.)

I think if I had two at once I would be much more keen to leave them with other people - it must be hard work! I had to wait until DD1 was fairly independent before considering another pregnancy so even the idea of a baby and a toddler seems like a lot of work and twins must be even more work.

I'm much LESS likely to leave them with other people (and please don't use phrases such as "palm them off" like someone did on here - it's actually really offensive to describe it as such) now there's two of them... I know I can cope relatively OK (apart from teething hell - these first two just will not flipping cut despite her having bumps the size of a mountain range on her gum now) with the pair of them, I know hubby can cope acceptably with them (we still have differences of opinion about how does things compared to me) - but I know that two at once would be pretty hard going for people who don't know them as well as we do. My mum's fine looking after Erin - she doesn't do things 100% as I do - but I don't think you can ever expect that when someone's giving up time freely to help, so I'd possibly trust her to do it if anyone - but she's not a newborn person (same as me) so I don't think she'd WANT to look after the duo for extended periods yet anyway.

Haven't really had much choice but to leave Erin on occasion anyway - from her being in NICU a floor away from me and me being kicked off the unit at regular intervals to "get some rest" (ie go away and get out from under our feet), to being in and out of hospital prior to and after Robyn came - I've HAD to leave her in the care of other relatives on occasion... my mum and my younger brother (who is fantastic with her - just diabolical on the putting little girls' outfits together front)... so please don't describe it as "palming her off" onto others.

We've also had a couple of awful nights with teeth (talking waking screaming inconsolably at hourly intervals awful) - on those occasions - rather than waking two babies up, one of us has taken Robyn to sleep in the moses basket downstairs, while the other's had Erin... again - not "palming off".

It's getting rather bashy and judgemental on here lately.

Sorry but your wording tends to indicate you DO have a problem with those who do - that's really quite unpleasantly worded.

Poor Noah :(. Hope the docs are helpful.

I'm hoping they've got an appointment - it's cheaper if you book on the day but if they don't have one ill have to wait til OH is off again in a few weeks. Tempted to do something drastic but I'll probably bottle it when I get there :o

Dizzi. I wrote a rather large reply which seems to have disappeared. I'm sorry if the wording offended you. It relates more to the situations I'm being posed with and should not have leaked out like that. If I wanted the break/sleep or I had to for some reason then I would. I'm being requested to despite my objections. I feel as though I'm being forced to just for the sake of it. It rather upsets me that EVERYONE seems to think I need a break, as if I'm not coping.

I'm having a down day so sorry for any offence.
