    Hey ladies,

Hope all are ok and enjoying this better weather we've had today!

I put Poppy onto cows milk last month and she loves it! When I say its 'moo moo milk time' she goes giddy as a kipper!

We are having some proper tantrums at the moment, she keeps rolling over to our Sky box and fiddling with the buttons (she stopped Corrie recording the other night!!) so now when she goes to push the button and I saw 'no' in a firm voice so throws herself onto the carpet face first and screams and flays her arms and legs! Its quite amusing to watch!

Been ill this week, think I had a virus, feeling sick, cold but hot, swollen glands and achey body - not nice! Husband couldn't take time off work, my Mum was on holiday so I asked my FIL to entertain her all day Wednesday, this was the first time he's taken her out on his own before. I was worried (don't know why, he is a retired Nurse with 5 grown up children!) but still I couldn't help myself! They had a fab time, he got lots of attention from old ladies and she was spoilt! Think he can take her out more often he really enjoyed himself!

Jealous hearing about all this baby shoe shopping, can't wait to take Poppy! Would love to see pics!

    Hope everybody sleeps well.xxx

Nurofen is the godsend for teething here, calpol barely touches the sides :( if you have any of that he can have it as you can alternate both of those x

Im all out of nurofen :( been meaning to buy some for weeks now and forget everytime! Calpol seems to take the edge off though and the powders do help him a little, hoping he sleeps off a bit xx

Sunshine and Gilly - hope your little ones settle for the night soon.

Jannine - lol at Poppy having tantrums when you tell her no!

I think I'm in for a long night too but with ds1. I have had to change his covers twice already and he has to sleep on the floor tonight as he usually sleeps on the top bunk but I don't want to risk him trying to rush to the toilet to be sick and falling out of bed. Luckily we have a little roll out bed for when their friends stay over, I'm just putting his last lot of covers in the washing machine then heading for bed.

  • Oh no Sammie hope it improves and he gets better soon :(

jannine - I had some sort of hot/cold, achey body, fever, feeling sick thing for 24 hours. Felt like death then it went, assume that was a virus too! Hope you are better now :)

Thanks for the replies about weaning - really interesting so far :)

MrsAshworth - Gripe water from 1 month, it is like magic for us, works almost instantly for belly pains. We had a few weeks around 3-6 weeks where the baba was only pooing once a day or once every 2-3 days, we had to use the gripe water to solve her pains which only seemed to happen in the night really. We found the longer she went without pooing the worse the belly pains got and she would sick up her milk a lot more. It is normal for them not to go every day, particularly if she is breast fed as they digest more of the milk. Since we introduced one bottle a day here there has been nothing but dirty nappies!!

    Hello ladies

Thank you all for the advice I def think well try the gripe water if this carries on, the less sleepy my baby is the more grunting/straining we have. After my post he has slept for four hours so I'm feeling more positive!

The reason I asked about infacol is because I was presented with it yesterday by the mil, didn't even ask if it was needed/wanted! She wouldn't listen when I said its too early to use! Gr

Morning ladies, hope you all eventually got some sleep? Hope ds1 is as bit better this morning sammie?

George slept like a little star again, not a peep from bedtime at 7.30 til 7am this morning :T

I'm a bad mummy - I didn't wash any of his clothes, even when he was teeny tiny . A good 90% of our stuff was second hand from friends and they'd washed it all in Fairy and it smelt lovely - We use Tesco own brand and it doesn't smell half as nice so I wanted to hang on to the Fairy smell while I could.

Small monster is demanding food so looks like I'm on porridge duty, have good days all :)

    Morning

Katiechoc- George seems to be getting very good at this sleeping thing. I use fairy powder and softener still and I love the smell! :) we go to Makro and buy a 130 wash box for £24ish. It's the best I have found for ds1's skin too so I am sticking too it for a while.

Ds1 is better now thanks but ds2 has been sick so I think he has got it now. They are both led on the sofa with a duvet over them. I am going to cook a roast today but I think it will be just DP, Noah and me eating it!

Katie yay for fab sleeping!! About time he gave you some good nights :D

Nutella I've never washed new clothes, unless they are second hand. And even then, if they smell obviously 'just washed' then sometimes I haven't. The only definite is charity shop stuff.

I can't believe my little boy is 10 months old now!! I remember the horrible hazy days of coming on here and being in tears typing my posts because I was struggling with BFing so much and everything was so overwhelming. Now I love being a mum!! Uh oh on that note I'm being summoned down the monitor.....
