George is walking loads now, still crawls a lot but I think a trip to Clarks is on the cards pretty soon
Yay for walking! :jWe went to Clarks the other day to get LO's first pair of shoes - only to find the shop closed and a note saying that due to a technical fault they were unable to open their shutter! :mad:0 -
Nutella - how much does your LO eat in a normal day? Apologies if I missed a post. Curious as George is a really greedy bogger sometimes- 3 weetabix and banana for brekkie, half my omelette plus toast, yoghurt, bit of fruit for dinner, couple of meatballs anda few bits of pasta for tea plus yoghurt/pud and fruit for tea. Plus at least one if not two snacks. He doesn't have much milk any more though.
She has 180ml of milk morning and evening, as well as in the afternoon if she's at nursery (a snack if she's at home), breakfast is a weetabix and some fruit, then a mid-morning snack (something like an adult-sized rice cake and some banana), lunch is veg chili/pasta and veg/cottage pie/etc. and yoghurt, afternoon snack is something like a couple of biscotti and fruit, dinner is a hot meal, then she has a snack before bedtime (e.g. piece of toast) unless she's so tired she goes to bed early. I think my sense is that her portions are too big, especially at nursery, so I need to have a chat with them - I also want them to replace her afternoon milk with a snack if possible, although I do realise she might need to eat more there than at home, as she's more active and naps less...0 -

My LO has her very own Sky remote - we had to buy a new one when the 0 and 1 buttons stopped workingDoesn't stop her from grabbing the one we use though!

There. Up to date!
LO's first day back at nursery today after almost 2 weeks at my parents' - she was so excited to be back! Crawled off before I'd finished taking her coat off, was smiling and giggling and clapping, and went straight over to a new little boy who'd started last week and touched his hand. She hardly noticed me leaving! Was so nice to see - I'd been a bit worried about how she'd react after such a long time away.0 -
I swear I've eaten my own body weight in chocolate this Easter. Meanwhile, my little girl still hasn't tasted chocolate. Or cake*. Is that mean?
*But she did try ice cream last week
On a completely unrelated note, did anyone watch Bedtime Live last night? I wanted to throw the remote (LO's remote - not the one that actually works) at the TV when the 'expert' told us that every baby aged 6-10 months should be able to sleep all night. Well, I'm sorry Ms Expert, but my baby didn't read that book! :mad:0 -
I think I'll take her to the docs tomorrow. Her totals for sleeping and eating are the same as before, but she's more tired than usual. She generally has naps every 1.5h, except the first one of the day, which is 1h after waking up. Yesterday and today, however, she does not last 30min, sometimes she even wakes up tired. She's been very clingy and emotional. She's been doing that "open arms" reaction motion with any noise, she pulls out her bottom lip and looks very sad then starts crying high pitch all of a sudden because of some noise (like a yawn!) or because I have not talked to her in the previous 30 seconds! I feel so sorry for her!! She only wants to be carried, talked to and rocked to sleep. Not even the jumperoo is working, she sits there with sad face barely doing anything. However, she does giggle if I do the fake sneezes or cough, or quick kisses on the tummy, so she's not always down. I think she's hot but the ear thermometer says she's maximum 37.6, although it gives me different readings in different ears. Could it be faulty? During the whole day she has probably stayed awake and rested not more than 2h in total, the rest she's been sleeping or asking to be carried and rocked to sleep. Does it sound like anything to to you? I'm a bit worried.Quit smoking *1st January 2010*
