Ah right thanks, I'm not on facebook so ill keep an eye on here for updates then.

Everyone is still asleep here but I've been wide awake since 6.45. I think my body clock is still in school run mode!

Do you have anything planned with your boys for the Easter hols?

My plans for today include tidying and more tidying. And sorting out invitations for the small master's birthday bash!

Katiechoc - I loved planning Noah's 1st birthday! What are you doing for George's big day?
I haven't got much planned because if the weather, they do have some friends coming round, so a few days are sorted at least! I need to cut my grass at some point but not looking forward to that job! :o
You will have to let me know if you are going to the opening of when you find out dates, if I can make it too we will have to meet up :D

Definitely we'll have to meet up! I think most of their stores have cafes in too...

Tbh I wasn't going to do anything for his birthday, just a day out with the three of us. But as we've been to a few 1st parties thought we should do something. So I'm banking on it being nice weather and doing a picnic in the local park with a few little games. If its bad weather we'll relocate back to ours instead. Getting a bit carried away with it now though! Helium balloons, cake, cupcakes, party bags...! His bday is on the May Day bank holiday though so not sure how many people might be going away or already have plans so doing the invites ASAP.

That's a fab idea for his birthday. :D it's a shame we don't live closer as I have 4 helium balloons still from Noah's birthday! I doubt George would appreciate half deflated balloons though! ;)
I love cupcakes! It's my ds2's birthday this month but instead of a party he is having a couple of his closest friends round for dinner and play the day before. I was thinking of baking a load of cupcakes for them. I really need to give my oven a good clean and start baking again.

Mums starting to get a bit worried about LO. He's 10 weeks but still takes no interest in his toys or playing!

Some toys will get his interest and he'll follow them with his eyes, but he makes no attempt to bat a toy on his toy bar or on his play mat. He's just happy sitting there and watching everyone walk around.

His favourite thing in the world is to sit on your lap (he can now sit up fine, just cant keep himself there so you need to use one hand around his waist to support him) and follow people with his eyes. He's very responsive if you talk / sing / play with him. But he just doesn't 'do' toys.

Is this normal? I see all the other babies at baby group reaching for toys or shaking rattles. But he just likes to sit on my lap and watch them play and smile at them.

Peanut - Our little one is nearly 15 weeks and only in the last 2-3 weeks has she been batting toys. She's been eyeing them up for weeks and around 12 weeks something clicked and she realised what she had to do to get them to move. She can only just grab things too from around 12 weeks so I think there is nothing to worry about !

Marta - Think we have the same baby book! my little one does not adhere to the sleep/naps they suggest. I figure as long as she gets some sleep in the day thats good enough for me!

On the topic of sleep - we put our little one down in her cot when we go to bed, she basically does one big sleep (4-6 hours) and then wakes up every two hours until morning. We put her down early one night as I'm aware they are supposed to go to bed earlier than 11pm! - thing is she did her big sleep 9-1, then was up at 1, 3, 5 and 7 - I cannot handle that at all!

I guess the question is, if it works for us putting her down at 11pm does that matter as long as she is getting enough sleep?

Her formula bottle seemed to settle her but even lately the sleep pattern has changed and she seems less settled. She is 15 weeks, I'm tempted to try her on hungry milk at night to see if that helps. She had two formula bottles last night one at 8pm and one at 11pm and I thought she'd be out like a light but woke at 2am, 5am, 6am, 7am all for feeds - she also woke up in between for a cry but didn't want feeding. Wonder if she isn't well or her teeth are bothering her? Oh its such a guessing game!

Hope all are well anyway :)

Money penny I wouldn't worry about the late bedtime. I had a baby who would not sleep before 10pm+ but it naturally got earlier and earlier and now goes to bed around 7/7:30

Sounds totally normal to me. In fact, he's more interactive than Freddie was at that age - he didn't really do laps or toys. You should see him now though! Loves his toys, and chatting, and rolling, and shrieking and giggling.

Thanks turtle :o It's the disapproving looks I can't handle! :D Hope she has a better sleep tonight! I'm exhausted - though nothing compares to those first few weeks of newbornness!

I'm fairly sure mine only started to be interested in toys at around 3-4 months.
