Katie, thanks for asking about sleep, and sorry I completely forgot to reply :o It's a mixed bag at the moment - last night was good; she slept from 8pm to 5.15am with only a little cry at midnight-ish. The previous night was pretty terrible with lots of awake-time, but right now her cold is almost gone and her teeth don't seem to be bothering her, so here's hoping for another good night tonight. Hope George gives you a break every now and then and has the odd nap? Sounds like he's keeping you busy!

    Im glad you found out!!

dizzi that picture is priceless, Erin is lovely.

My in laws very kindly offered to look after dd1 in their house until she gets better as she was there throwing up yesterday, so it is likely she will be spending her first week of school holidays with them and of course she is been really spoilt by them, she even got her own room in their house!

ohh my 8 wk old has got a runny nose and eyes , think she caught dd1's cold. other than calpol i can not give her anything, can i?

Poor little thing :( You can give her saline drops - it's just salty water, best administered whilst they're asleep! You can also try putting some books or something under the head end of her basket/cot so that her head is a bit higher than her body to help aid breathing (or create a small 'pillow' under her sheet) - carrying her in a sling will also help if she's struggling to nap. A bowl of boiling hot water in her room might also help. Some people also like using nasal aspirators to remove snot, although personally I'm not convinced :o

I found the saline spray easier than the drops for their nose x

her right eye is a bit red and watery but the other is fine. Cant believe she cries with real tears now and gets bright red.

I once put a bowl of hot water with two drops of Olbus oil in the room to help her breathe.

I have bought the rainforest jumperoo, it ended up being £59 because of the amazon credit for the Family membership. I cannot wait to try the new pram and the jumperoo this weekend!

Officially, you're meant to offer both sides at every feed. I rarely do simply because once he was on you couldn't prise him off :D
    ...sneaks in late.....

I've not done this. Baby seems full on one boob and I never quite got how if the baby wanted more (hunger) offering a new boob with foremilk first would work? I did try once or twice but he's full after one. I don't think it's your milk drying up moneypenny, more like more milk is needed per feed.

Hopefully last night was ok too? Maybe once the cold is gone she'll be better...
George is miles better, over the weekend we even had two nights in a row when he slept from his bedtime (7.30pm) til 7am which was luxury! He doesn't really nap unless he's in his pushchair though, and when he's awake he literally doesn't stop. At all.

We're at mils for a couple of days, got here late last night. Last time we were he was really clingy and wouldn't go to mil for anything so I was a bit worried about it. This morning he's crawled off after her into the other room without a backwards glance!

Ugh 3.30 wake up :( not had one of those in a few weeks!

But he's up again now, just gave me a gorgeous present in his nappy (and why do they always smile???) just having a feed :)

Hoping he drops off for a mini nap so I can shower!
