I don't dislike people for having them, I do feel some pity. There has to be something not quite right if you let some nutter practice his doodling by poking needles full of ink through your skin and no its not doing anyone else any harm, but neither does self harming - but we try to help people with that condition. I struggle to see much difference.
Read your post again then, unnecessarily condescending and rude. My tattooist certainly isn't a 'nutter' and you are basically saying that because we don't agree with your closed minded point of view we are somehow not as good as you are.
Likewise lots of other bigots in this thread. Sad really.Proud meowmy of four fuzzy cats

Wow. I read the first line of your post and got read to hit the thanks button because I agree that the anti-tattoo posts so far have just been opinion rather than judgemental but then you went on to post the most judgemental load of shoite on here :eek:Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

I doubt I'd ever get a tattoo for a variety of reasons but if I did, the one below is likely the one I'd choose. It's from a fantasy sci-fi series (Warhammer) but I like the idea and the simplicity behind it, one head is looking to the past which is blinded and the other looks to the future and has its eyes open.

and before your sci-fi series it was used by the Eastern Roman Empire, the Turkish byzantine empire, the Russian Empire, Napoleon's armies and Prussia. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

I would never have a tattoo. My old dad used to call them "Tramp Stamps" and to be honest, if a woman moved in next door to you who had tattoos, your heart would sink, wouldn't it?
Last year during a very rare warm spell, I saw a guy with his shirt off with "ROONEY" in two inch high letters across his back near the shoulders...and a massive Everton Football Club badge underneath it!!
Tramp stamps? That is very sexist, and quite shocking coming from a female. Are tattoos any less horrendous if they are on a male?
No, my heart would not sink if a female with tattoos moved in next door to me, but then again, I'm obvioulsy a little more open minded to let someones tattoo force me to rule them out completely...A radical idea here, but I would get to KNOW them, rather than jumping to some unfounded judgement based on what they look like..That is just dumb..The opposite of what you know...is also true0 -
They are widely known as tramp stamps.. it isn't a new term, the media use it often enough. Tattoos are equally horrendous on any gender.
My brother has a massive 7 and cantona across his calf.. it is hideous.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Urgh, so much hatred in this thread, I cannot believe that something that can be so personal for one person can make a person sick.
If a woman moved next door to me and had tattoos, I would probably make friends with her, and talk about them.
I have 8 tattoos, and damned if I will let anyone tell me they're ugly, or drawn on by some "nutter"
Hey, if you think you can draw beautiful masterpieces on living skin with a constant vibrating machine go right ahead, just dont insult someone's pride and life work0 -
