Just popping in Buffy to say I love your sig (not the debt part). I hope you're taking care of yourself. When do you leave work? It's something I've gotten from my Mum (she used to give me it before dancing exams!), but I have a little nip (is that the right word??) of brandy when I'm stressed (obvs not when I need to drive afterwards). It helps to calm the nerves :)

    Hello diary readers,

or dairy readers as I first wrote.

well Work was not as bad as I thought, and however many times I have moments like these I never accept that my head can make things worse so much worse than they really are. It wasn't nice but like most things work related just makes me realise that I should not be there now.

Unfortunately now the hard work starts re school. paid for my Masters. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

    so yeah hysterics aside

I spent no money today and won't spend any tomorrow either. Trying to make the Guinea pig food last till Wednesday and I would normally buy petrol tomorrow BUT Mum bought me some today :)

Also I have £508 left in my account. The man is only being seen once this month :(:( but THREE times next month :):):) so I am not as skint as I feared ( and clearly crap at maths)

    I want chickens.

When I have my own house..........................sighs.

Need to check my other account actually.

Since cleaning out the fish at the start of half term I am back on the I want another fish tank thing. Of course I cannot afford it strictly speaking.

    BUT

if I get the room sorted out on Saturday I *may* go and get some fish.........only little fish.

I have a tank and a filter. so really it is just the fish :)

Although I am toying with the idea of waiting till the end of the month.......................

    hmmm

I don;t know about you Buffy, but when I declutter/reorganise- I also get loads of ideas for "improvements" that involve spending and acquring more than what I just got rid of.....especially when it involves piggies and pets as that's how the pigs get continual upgrades to their cage sizes/facilities ;)

Perhaps wait a wee while til you know how things are going to pan out once you're no longer drawing a salary?

    Just a suggestion :)

you are correct of course Wol and that is EXACTLY what I am doing!

I tidy and I expect some kind of reward.........

The fish I want are teeny tiny. and cheap. I need to get hay. and I will think up more justifications before the weekend.

Hee hee - takes one to know one ;)

On the matter of piggies: A day without dried food won;t hurt - but hay is an ABSOLUTE requirement for piggies. Just out of interest - my pigs get unlimited good quality hay daily but only get dried food every other day otherwise they are inclined to porkiness and I am inclined to poverty :D. The days they don;t get dried food they get some veggies/cut grass/ etc In the summer I regularly go foraging for meadow grass/dandelions to cut down on the pre-packed veggie bill from the supermarket - and having 10pigs that can be quite substantial  . In the winter I rely on dried herbage as a substitute for veggies on some days......and I've now got Numpty drying dandelions in his airing cupboard for the winter months :money:

I've found this all helps with the budgeting :D

Going back to your recent "desires following decluttering"..........The reward for your recent endeavours is your own self-satisfaction/congratulations of a job well-done.....and the fact that it is no longer "not done" and therefore it is no longer stressing you out. This is the best present you can give yourself...and you don;t now have to spend extra money on new fish as a reward because you have already rewarded yourself by eliminating the stress. You have also proved to yourself how you really are "worth it" by actually "doing the deed you" have been procrastinating over....yep I know all about procrastination :o

Also - your friends on here are delighted in your achievements We think you;re brilliant for what you've done and are continuing to do and we support you in all your endeavours. We will help provide the "positive strokes" you need and ensure our support doesn't involve you or any of us spending loads of money:rotfl:....well, this is a moneysaving site after all :D

Happily awaiting more justifications ;)....but actually this could be a mindset you can wean yourself off with a bit of "out-of-box" thinking....I'm doing the same for me atm so happy to be your "buddy" in this

Much hugs and whiskery piggie kisses

My lot live on hay - as in not fleece, it is puppy pads, paper, hay and then more hay in the morning and when I get home in the evening, they get two bowls (between 5) of dried food each day(morning), they finish it all but as it is only two scoops I don't think it is too much - they go through a bag of wagg a week 1.5 kilos? I think. They get veg every day, and I was wondering about grass etc cos we have LOADS and I spend about 10 quid on veg a week. It would help with costs...... they are a bit tubby mc tubby:o They squeak so much if they don't get veg I have given up the every second day idea :o:o:o:o

    Regarding the fish :)

I think if I still want them at the end of term I will get them. I can get the hay for the piggies on Sunday from the big shop on the outskirts of town(cheaper than Sainsbury's) and have a quick drool. Also see if they have some decent gerbil food. I love my gerbils and don't mention them nearly enough! Also in the interests of fairness the dogs are also fab and lovely.

    Pets are expensive.

ps. when I said guinea pig food I meant veggies for them. spoilt little wosits, I go fresh food shopping twice a week for them!!
