I would just give it to the charity shop as having it around waiting to sell it would probably cause you too much stress.

Agree with Lou/Taxi. I have had 3 boxes of 'things to Ebay' in the loft ever since I carted them up here from Leeds. Will I ever do it? Probably not. :o

Getting rid of clutter makes me feel strangely calm though. :)

  • I know it's a money saving site, but I usually give all my stuff to charity or a homeless shelter!

That's just me though. But the way I see it I am not that hard off and I love that I am doing good AND decluttering! :D xxx
  • I have been ummmm and errrrrrrrring about for a 2 hours now.

I think it will be Charity for most of it, I may music magpie the games just for the fun of it - there is a collection point near work and I could also recycle my phone and cds there.

books can go to charity shop tho. they are mostly new self help ones bought during my 20s that I read once and never really took to.

They might do some one some good.

I am so tired. Got a headache(!) and feel a bit sick, need to eat.

    xx

  • I don't really think my depression affects my life - which sounds nuts but hey bear with me, I don't tell people in real life, I mention that I feel down or that I am not happy etc. but nothing specific. And I think things tick along ok.

But they don't. I forget friendships take work and time, I haven't given either to my friends lately. I struggle to go out in groups more than 1! The wedding I went to I found very difficult to be honest. It was good to be there but..................

My friends went out today - admittedly it was a thing based around kids and I don't have them but it was a place I love and well normally I would have been over to hers at some point this week and would have gone with them but i have hidden away this holiday.

I think they all think it is the new boyfriend - he is keeping me busy and I do thank God for him as he does at least make me leave the house. I feel safe with him. However I only see him once every two weeks and the rest of the time I do hide, claiming work or headache as an excuse.

It is funny how I haven't noticed how much I have shut myself away.

    hmmm. Something to think about.

    xx

  • In other news I decided whilst sodding about with Music magpie everything is going to charity aside from the CDs already listed on there.

They don't accept PC games and I cannot face GreenMetting any more books! Beanie and Taxi you are right when you say the stuff hanging around will stress me out!

I wish i would stop feeling sick. I think it is the smell of the washing powder. hits me RIGHT in the back of the throat. disgusting.

I am off to have a facial - I thought I would treat myself before weekend away - having got everything sorted. Of course I am not Remotely sorted and really quite stressed out.

I loathe decluttering and the consumer society we live in. I just fill my house with !!!! that needs dusting or giving away!

    or throwing away!!!!!!

    Hmmmm a facial! LUSH!

I was looking into accupuncture to de-stress today! A facial just now sounds AMAZING, as I have a headache aswell at the minute!

    Enjoy x

There's nothing wrong with not wanting to socialise, if you are happy as you are. If you're feeling lonely/isolated and want to spend time with people but don't feel able to though, that's different, and a sign that perhaps your life is being affected by depression more than you realise.

Having someone you feel safe with is lovely. Is there any way you can see each other a little more regularly, or do you prefer not to?

Nope not pregnant :) I do think it is the washing powder, smells strong even now. mind you I felt sick last night as well. I did take a lot of pain killers over Monday and Tuesday.hmmm. Maybe that is it.

Re bloke - he only has every second weekend free due to kids, I wouldn't have time to see him any more often.
