Everyone needs down time and you work very hard and long hours so having some you-time in the holidays is not something to feel guilty about - just balance it so one day off, one day busy.
With the house stuff, baby steps, Rome wasn't built in a day0 -
Buffythedebtslayer wrote: »Hello folks,
I have just kinda crashed out, no energy and just ignoring everything. Did very little yesterday, or the day before.
I have so many plans and ideas re the house. I just have no confidence to get it done.
xxxx
Hey Buffy
Just popping in to see how you're doing :grouphug::grouphug:
Know the feeling about the house - I've been in a complete funk for the last year - lots of ideas, many half started - but none finished/completed. so the state of the house in itself is depressing
The last two days have been mainly about me sleeping late and reading books.....and I didn't exactly take advantage of the Easter break to get any of my "house projects" done.(But let's face it - down this way it;s been cold grey windy and blizzard conditions .....even if the snow thankfully hasn;t settled)
Numpty is coming down this week - luckily he knows "what to expect" from the house! If I manage to get the bathroom clean before he arrives tomorrow I will regard that as a major achievement
On a day by day basis it often feels like you're not making any progress - however if I compare even the small amounts I achieve now over a week , with the same time last year (or even in 2008 when my diary first started)- I know I am making good progress. Yes - it's frustrating that I am STILL not as "productive" as I used to be "before Flood" - but baby steps sums it up.
And I guess the biggest step forwards for me was learning last year (finally) to accept my circumstances in terms of lack of productivity and stop whipping myself if I have a bad day/week ! (oops - the mallethead smiley seems to have disappeared :rotfl:)
As Beanie would say - keep plodding.
It's been a long hard cold winter. - Seasonal Affective Disorder and rising fuel bills have a lot to answer for
I'm sure that, as the weather improves and the blossom starts to appear on the trees, you will "get your mojo" back and start to work on those lovely ideas......(just deal with one at a time)
Big hugs

Thank you Taxi and Wol xxxxxx I think it is true, the weather has effected me more than normal.
Today is the start of the new tax year and seems to be fortunate for me as I wanted a new start.
I have been doing my three things a day and still have - as recent posts have shown bad days but overall I think I am more of an even keel than I was.
I opened an ISA yesterday- the guy wasn't very helpful but it is done now.
This is all part of the mortgage or be ready to rent plan.
Any how inspired by Emzilla, I have a list of goals, I really have to go put a bet on! but will be back on later after the race to write more. However for now,
Stopprocrastinating. Really learn the benefit of delayedgratification and not sitting on the sofa on the laptop and watching nonsenseon tv.Be organised. Use the diary, do make limited lists, five things now – progress! It will make my life better. A massive part of myanxiety about work is the feeling of being caught out like something is goingto happen I don’t know about. Now of course it doesn’t help when you have aboss that doesn’t tell you things, however I could help myself by being on theball more.
Save 250 per month. Into the ISA, plus continueto save for other things – I have many savings accounts for monthly costs likepetrol pets and food etc. This has worked well.Health. When your fat pants are tight and your older bf has more energy then youit is time to change – details to follow. To be honest I often feel ill. The Man thoughtI was properly ill cos I get so tired and go so white and pathetic.Sleep. I MUST go to bed at 11.30 at thelatest and wake up at 6.30.I am not going to bed till one quite regularly andthis is not good for me, I online shop I get headaches. All very silly!
Teeth! I need to find a dentist or sort stuff out with my dentist. Long storybut do have work to finish. And my Wisdom teeth are KILLING me.Debts. Pay off 500 pounds per month. Plus anything else I make on Ebay andGreen Met and anything I have left from my wages.AmazonVouchers. Actually get some of these!!!! I loveAmazon and use it loads for my shopping – good reliable delivery for pet food. Somust do surveys instead of ignoring them and make sure I stop spending there onthings like boxsets for a tenner......
NectarPoints. I always save these for Christmas did welllast year – 75 quid which considering I wasn’t shopping the main shop or beingv organised much was good.TescoClubcard Vouchers. For Christmas – unless some will goout of date – need to check
MoneyOff Vouchers. – always remember my price checkthings and money off at prezzos and pizza express. Also go back to doing Cash backoffers.Takemore pride in my appearance. – doactually use the make-up etc I bought!! DO have a nightime routine with all theproducts .
MSE. List spends on diary, Ebay all that junk in the shed.

I haven't done much, my friend annoyed me and it has made me kinda sad.....
I am feeling a bit out of the loop and definitely in need some success if that makes sense. So I might e bay some stuff tonight, I haven't done any in a while and it would be to do in front of the TV
I can't "do" the piggies, no where to put them that the dogs won't harrass them. makes building the new cage quite hard!
so dinner - which I am cooking, won't take long and them some e bay.
catch you later xxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Hi buffy
Sorry to hear you're feeling down. I notice you have a very large "to do" list hope this isn't making you feel overwhelmed. Keep taking those baby steps and don't try to do too much. Good luck with the e-baying - it's not one of my favourite pastimes but sometimes it just has to be done!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
just reading between the lines of you being tired/lethargic/depressed/weight gain...have you had your thyroid checked?0

thank you so much for posting, hope the news is good in the morning xxxx
And dear Lord Ebay is boring and I only listed 4 things!!!!
The goals bit is more long term, I am not thinking of doing them all at once. well not tomorrow
speaking of tomorrow I really need to sleep so I can get a jump on the whole room thing. my poor boyfriend told me to take a break today and I thought, well I would but you know when everywhere you go there is stuff that needs doing that = my house.
I am luck to have him. slightly worried it could all go wrong. but I suppose that is normal.
I just miss him and want to be with him.
With that in mind I have sold 4 things on e bay! lol Every little helps right!
