Everyone has different opinions. Its an awful thing to happen and I hope that she is found safe and well.

However I'm with emmaroids. These people are surely terrible parents, if the police do find the child they should think twice about returing her to the care of these irresponsible people.

I just thanked Emmaroids by mistake. Emmaroids joins in alot of threads to cause as much upset as possible. Obviously very bitter and nasty. He/she will come up with the obligatory I am allowed an opinion bla bla bla but there are ways to have an opinion. Surely getting into so much debt and trying to avoid paying tax are mistakes too so how would you like it if all this site told you was IT IS ALL YOUR FAULT YOU DESERVE IT!! Where would we be in this life if everyone had your attitiude to things.
    You make my stomach turn.
You say 'you hope they learn from it'??? Are you plain stupid!!!!!!
I think, as with the drugs thread, you are attention seeking.

no im not plain stupid, i would never leave my kids alone in my own home yet alone a foreign hotel.

and yes i know my debts are MY OWN FAULT and im the first to admit it.

No wonder threads like this end up being closed down. Take the children off them?? Come on get in the real world social services leave children with far far far worse parents and believe its for the best. I'm not getting involved anymore coz as you said people have the right to their own opinion but I like to look at the bigger picture, give people chances, try not to judge and believe we all make mistakes obviously some of you don't, you are perfect and prefer to sit in judgement. Well sorry thats not me so I'll leave it there.

My daughter, at a similar resort, found her children alone and crying (post #24) on the first occasion she used the checking system, and refused to leave them for the rest of the stay. She too was in a group of eight adult friends. There was incredible group pressure not to 'be a wuss', and she was constantly made to feel that she was somehow spoiling the holiday.

Most of her circle still proudly say 'children won't change our lives', which I think lies behind this sort of holiday arrangement.

Oh please let Madeleine be found.

I'd put money on the person who abducted her being either a member of staff or someone staying on the complex. The parents had got into the same routine every day, and someone had been observing this. Just hope the Portugese plod make some headway quickly.

It seems to me unless your posting to say how bad you feel for the parents predicament the candyfloss cape brigade are going to flame you until the thread get's pulled, is unwise to post in a critical manner towards these two or the wrath of mse will fall upon your shoulders, it is obviously a natural thing for some "parents" to do whilst on holiday, or in some cases their own homes, after reading through the multitude of threads so far posted and generally locked the opportunity for such a beast to strike is far greater than some of us would have believed and we are lucky there aren't thousands of such cases every year.

But it was not just ONE meal apparently they had been doing this all week!

If this is true, then that was probably noticed by the evil person that has done this. That was how they were able to plan it.

I'm sure they have learnt their lesson big time. If they took they little girl away from the parents (if they find her) all that would do is cause the little girl more stress. She will need her parents more than ever.
